translation at 2:00 is completely wrong. She says nothing about fearing getting beaten up. She says "they sent stuff, some people got some and others did not get any. Me, i am still buying little bags of rice, i did not get anything at all" She is referring to aid.

1) Haiti depends on local businesses 2) Not 1 single international company in Haiti (Embargo since 1804). 3)Haiti was doing fine by exporting products to Canada,Germany ,Dominican republic etc but only for a short period of time(the US currency) 4) after the 80’s the government sold all the factories including trains,Airplanes etc.. 5) greed from the government 6) They are still waiting for the gold that the US stole in the Bank National of Haiti back in the 20’s(they called it the American occupation of Haiti). 7) the constant disrespect from other countries(since they don’t know how these people are really trying) 8) only 1 country(Venezuela)stood by them but unfortunately after the passing of their president, everything changed! 9)Democracy is not for Haiti! 10)the translated conversations in this video are wrong!

The government owned all of the factories in the 80's? So Haiti was basically Socialist, that explains a lot. 5. yes 6. If you had gold stolen a hundred years ago, that is not an excuse to be poor. 7. disrespect doesn't make you poor. 8. Venezuela is also Socialist, they were rich back then, now they are poor. It's pointless. They just don't care enough. They will use up the money without thinking about the future then end up needing more. They need to learn how to take care of themselves. People are offering to teach them skills but they say they "aren't interested". My guess is the aid is causing them to not learn how to fend for themselves correctly.

@Island Girl I never say Haiti needed Dominican Republic and yes it was the first African nation. I meant a Dominican Republic takeover by force and replacing the people but is just a dumb idea that unfourtanely involves genocide and re-destruction of Haiti. I like Haitian in US I speak on a daily basis to many of them. I'm learning some Creole I know a lot.

Yes but DR is building a border wall to stop all kinds or illegal shenanigans, like deforestation and trespass that Haitians are doing. Helping should require a firm hand and a strong border, only then can DR feel secure to help.
