Tbh im not worried, for next season people like Berarda, Dan Arshworth and a lot more will already be in place so the managing of players like Amass are now in very safe hands, we now can trust cause we´ll have a world class footballing structure.

@gaara4667 ETH doesn't have anything to do with the academy. He's there to see the good prospects and take them to the first team. That will stay as his job. Nick Cox is the head of the academy

I’ve always thought the MLS would benefit by embracing the retirement league moniker. Bring over older stars and young talents to learn from those players. Whether that be directly on the training ground or against each other in the league shouldn’t matter. It would also help grow the league. Being able to see big name stars with all their experience and rooting for young up and coming talents would also help American fans feel more connected to the greater footballing world. I say this as someone who saw Santi Giménez start his career in Mexico’s Cruz Azul before moving to Feyenoord in the Eredivisie. As a Mexican-American Football fan I’ve never really had this experience of following a player from a small club and seeing his steady progress in Europe.

Great insight. I can see the loaning out to MLS. They may not have a great standard of league but being America, they will always have a high level of resource, performance and will in terms of progressing as an athlete

MLS is shit bro. I live in montreal, and i support Montreal FC, and I sometimes go watch their match live, and the play is so slow, and I sometimes feel like even I can play with them. For a kid to develop for the premiere leagues, he needs to play in a faster league.

It’s not Shit. It’s a top 15 league in the world. Young players don’t need fast pace leagues because then they aren’t able to develop the required technical abilities that they need

The under 23s has become a wasteground for potential talent. Lingard, Hannibal, Mengi, Fosu-Mensah, Perreira... They all looked like they would make it at u18 only to have their development stunted by years in the u23. The sooner we move to a Spanish system of "reserves" or B team able to enter the competitive league structure the better.

Loaning never works for us, just use them in cups then slowly integrate them into the team and they will develop like Mainoo,Garnacho etc

England EFL championship is much more competitive than MLS league.. better send younger player there for experience.

@@magnusandersen9669 Yes you can. You judge players based on their performance in the youth set ups. You can't throw every player into the first team, Mainoo only got into the side when he was 18, Amass isn't even 17

I am a huge Beckham fan. after he got his own club up and running I start watching MLS religiously.. cr7 are not joking when he say Saudi league are better. when cr7 club humiliates inter Miami 6-0 with a second string / bench player , I can tell you it's not a fluke. it's that easy to score in mls. still don't believe Me? check out Almiron stats and hype before he came to Newcastle. you would be surprise that they think that he gonna be a 20+ goal a season player in epl cos people in mls are that deluded. if epl send Luton or Brighton to take part in mls they will win it all. comfortably!!!. if you want to ruin player like amass send them to mls

This is not true at all. How does Al Nassr beating Inter Miami in a friendly prove anything? Almiron was great at Newcastle. The MLS is clearly a better league for players to develop than the Saudi league. You’ve missed the point of the whole video, it’s not even to do with it being a top league it’s about the development of young players. Sending Amass to the MLS would categorically not ruin him at all

So spot on re Alvaro. Shockingly bad decision. Playing Amrabat and Lindelof at left back is disgraceful. Amass looks a little slow. I would like to see him work on his pace

Yeah and under Ten Hag we let Elanga and Garner go but kept Eriksen and Pellistri, Gore’s gone on loan as well when he should have been getting game time

It only is if you don't understand what he is attempting to do. Remember that he wants to end up with three defenders at the back and two holding players by inverting either the left or right back. Both Shaw and Dalot can either invert or play as a stopper with reasonable effect. Fernandez at present can do neither as he is more in the mould of a winger which doesn't support that. Using a player who is stopper or one who is a midfielder achieves that objective but loses out because neither is great at playing as a left back but when inverted they should fit into the roles identified.

@@AlstonBenjamin I understand your premise, but I think you're not right. Lindelof and Amrabat are such liabilities as Wing Defenders, which makes them only useful when they rotate to the middle. They lack versatility. The purpose of modern fullbacks is they need to play 2 positions well. Amrabat can play holding midfield/CM, but can't play CB or LB. It only works with Shaw and Dalot. Playing Alvaro, he would invert or play on the wing as a LB or LM, or he could move inside and play CM, because he has great ball carrying skills, in which case Casemiro/Amrabat would drop to split the CBs and then Lisandro would shift wide left or in the case of Shaw playing LCB he would go wide left. We desperately need a backup LCB to Lisandro or a LB that can invert and play wing defender so Shaw can play CB when Lisandro is hurt. When both Shaw and Lisandro are hurt (a frequent occurrence) we struggle. Top priorities are getting a backup striker, a backup to Garnacho at RW (if EtH won't play Amad) and a Left Footed CB to backup Lisandro. TBH I doubt Amrabat is going to be signed after the loan. I would try to sell Casemiro, get a star ball carrying CM to partner Mainoo.

@@BrooklynCatz You heavily overestimate his abilities both as a defensive midfielder and as a stopper. Not that he is a weak defender, but his game is more oriented to offence rather than defence and is still developing on defending internally. He therefore isn't ready to play as an inverted midfielder. Additionally, you restated what I did using more words. I already agreed that they are liabilities when not inverted. Also, they need an all-round midfielder to share carrying the ball and defending with Mainoo not just a ball carrier.

Yes it is a serious league, you’ve can’t have kept up to date for the last decade. It’s better than the South American leagues for sure. In fact it’s one of the best leagues for young players, hence why players from South American are going to the MLS rather than the other way

Players like mount,Kane developed well in English lower leagues if you can hack it there just move you need to know that things can get hard that’s life The epl is so fast paced and hard just like its lower counterparts

@@kelvinmacharia7898 not really. Kane was a late developer and most players who go on loan to the EFL don’t make it back to the PL. The whole point of youth development is finding leagues and teams that suit a players development needs at that time. Hence why the players United have sent on loan to the EFL usually don’t develop into PL players
