Many ask why is this Live Service game better than any other. The reason couldn't be simpler. When they were building this thing, it was a video game from day zero. A video game with a tiny mtx shop on the side. But when you look at pretty much 90%+ of all other live service "games", they aren't actual games, oh no. Those other "things" are just microtransaction stores, and the "game" that's bundled with it serves as marketing for its mtx store. So in other words, you're paying $70 for an mtx store that tries its hardest to give you an illusion of being a video game. Its fucking pathetic, and absolutely everyone should be trolling those titles across all social medias until they shut them down. The absolute filth of the industry.

@@drecckk8464 Its still would be banned even if Sony decided to move ahead, so its basically nothing done. This is honestly whats keeping me from throwing in my money to purchase the game. Helldivers 2 looks like a game I can pour hours into when taking a break from some of my uni work, but if your gonna cut off a lot of the countries around the world, Ill wait to join. Theyve also added countries so its clear they are still getting their way, by having only countries that have a PSN account available to be able to play the game. No different from if they went all in on mandatory PSN. Hopefully Arrowhead can convince Sony to back off and let the game grow. This game can definitely come in with TGA awards assuming they allow it. Community support for an example. So I hope this can all be ironed out sooner than later.

The 'no item inventory' is a huge point that I never considered. The game is just gameplay and lobby. Sure you need to set up every mission, especially on high-tier difficulty, but even if you have preference load out, it still can work out pretty well without much thought. Fuck inventory management, number go up doesn't give everyone a sense of satisfaction.

I think the bots are the biggest hurdle to new players because experimentation is hard to do when there are "safer" overall options. that one clip with you and the friend shooting spears at gunships was funny cuz you had the laser cannon, which I think is the best anti gunship weapon in the game. 1-2 seconds on the thrusters and poof they come crashing down.

One thing I'm scared of is that while these warbonds can technically be acquired for free, I don't know how new or returning player in 1-2 years can get all these items. I played for 100 hours and I'm kinda done with the game for a while, I'll return next year to see what's going on and I'll probably have 12 different battlepasses waiting for me which could take me another year to grind super credits or 120 dollars which is not great. They should make every pass free except the latest 3 and when a new one releases, another becomes free and so on.
@NoHands46
@NoHands46 Ай бұрын
Grinding for super credits is easier than it looks. With a buddy to do it with, you can get around 300-400 super creds an hour. I've gotten so many by just playing the game that I'm able to get armor sets from the shop and keep up with buying warbonds without paying 10 dollars for each one. One thing that I hope AH at least considers is making a subscription service that costs like 5-7 dollars a month to get every new warbond that comes out, with some SC to spend on armor in the shop.

Okay, this video has helped me understand a vital component about some of my favorite videogames that I've been wondering for over a decade. Why have I found that some games have a great online fanbase with very friendly players, while others have the most insane toxicity you can imagine in such common instances? Bear in mind I'm talking generalities and personal experience and there isn't a single theory that answers this question, but more like a bunch of reasons that gather to make more positive, kinder player bases and interactions. My long running theory was that PVP makes a game much more likely to be toxic for a start. I take monster hunter and deep rock galactic as good examples of fanbases where co-operation and advice has been common in my experience. Whereas online PVP shooters tend to be some of the worst environments online gaming has ever had to offer. A second one is that having good methods of communication and information sharing help hugely. Again, deep rock galactic has one of the best features for this in the laser pointer tool. Even without a mic, anyone can point at a rock that needs mining and say "look, over here!" or warn of a big enemy stomping around that others should focus on. It's not infallible, and doesn't compare to discord voice call outs etc, but it doesn't need to. I can jump into a game with randoms and expect at least some co-operation. Compare this to any team v team shooter where you get bullied in a voice call, and I think anyone can agree with me that deep rock's community is much more likely to be positive overall than a rainbow six siege, or overwatch. The new requisite your video has made me add on is about difficulty and AI. Difficulty and smart enemies that require inventive solutions have a habit of uniting a playerbase, even when co-op isn't really involved. Most people who fought malenia in elden ring when it released were playing solo, at least until they got tired of her and wanted to win. Everyone remembers the united frustration at her fight, and the memes that came out from it. I also have always remembered a sense of community in monster hunter since my first entry played, 3U. The player base at the time I played it was so small that I recognized randoms who were regular and had an informal group of people I would play with without ever using voice chat or discord. In my opinion, people who really love a game tend to have a respect for other players of the game, especially when you can see their hours and have similar time committed to the game like them. When you were at G-rank and doing endgame stuff, you knew how much time it took to get that account and every other person at that stage in the game had committed the same time to the game. The comparison I make is it's like a less serious form of getting your driving liscence. It's a time-consuming process, respect on the road should come naturally for most drivers because everyone else out there has made that effort to be able to drive too. Of course, the risk of death or accident helps inspire respectful driving too, but still. That respect breaks apart when the game doesn't have much detail or interesting play in it. People start to disrespect the game and see it as a waste of time, therefore not caring for the rest of players they meet and making their time worse too. Depth and interactivity are vital to keeping people engaged and the playerbase overall welcoming. You respect new players too for the fight they have ahead to learn to deal with specific difficult enemies or scenarios. AI emodies that. Players talk about specific enemies in games like they're people and sympathize with other players for having to put up with the same shit they've dealt with having to learn.

I am happy that the gaming community was able to make a big company change their mind for the best, also to avoid future worst and more impactful choices on the same line, but I also think people overreacted. I understand that the psn account linking was a problem and I don't want to be discriminatory in any way, but most of the countries without psn coverage are dictatorships, failed states or third world states where the population lives below the poverty line without internet connection. I think not being able to play Helldivers 2 is the least of their problems

Welp, someone finally convinced me to buy this game. But only because it doesn't have FOMO if I can't play every second of the day to grind for levels or gear. Can't wait to try it out, thanks Renn!

You are correct. They are also cutting off their other games on PC from those countries as well.

29:50 Spitz's stink is a little bit over that. He escalated the situation in those first few hours stating players can obey or leave, and a PSN account is no more that 120 sec and people are crying (which he later kinda apologized that he didn't know other countries' players can't do that, interesting of him being CM), and this act of "go bomb bratha" happened afterwards. I don't know his left is a result of this or that, but either way he doesn't fit the job of CM well in all those acts he did before. It's still a little bit sad to see him kicked out instead of moved to other seats in AH.

I think the reason Arrowhead can and has pushed out so much content so fast is a combination of advanced planning (i suspect they have a minimum of the first year's content completely planned out and ready/in-development), and not focusing to heavily on balance. Most stuff on release seems to have been developed from the point of view of "what would be FUN?" instead of "will this break the game?" which is both more fun for the players (the objective of a GAME) and also way easier. Destiny 2 constantly has to balance, rebalance, and re-rebalance ALL of its gear because of competitive PvP and PvE. Divinity is too strong and a must have for raiding? gotta nerf it. Warlocks only get to play Well because its the most unique and useful tool they have? nerf it. W-key + Shotgun is too strong in Crucible? You guessed it: NERF. having fun with bugged out loot rain? Can't have that, our play-time numbers will tank! Its all about balance and business, but last I checked, video games are GAMES. You don't play dodgeball with the Boys because it makes money or because Steve wants an ego boost, its because dodgeball is FUN. If games are fun, they will bring in money, and play-time, and new fans. Focus on that, and your game just might turn out like BG3, Warframe, Deep Rock, or Helldivers.

I love how teams cover eachothers weaknesses. Like I primarily have a shield pack and quasar cannon so I can get rid of chargers and damage bike titans, two of my buddies are light to medium control with flame throwing or air burst and the last one is for heavy artillery it makes it so everyone has their role and everyone has fun doing it

so good! highlighting ease of admission without worrying about being overwhelmed/unsure of what to do, variety of enemies and thoughtful/engaging combat changes with difficulty increase instead of the stale harder to kill/less damage done model, and awesome clip choices to show that your inventiveness is rewarded. Thanx renn.
