"The reason I bring up things that are bad is because I want to fix them." The problem is, to a lot of people, bringing up the bad things makes you the villain. They were blissfully unaware that, say, their car was spying on them and sending the data to insurance companies until you brought it up. But instead of getting angry at the maker of their car, the lizard brain gets angry at you for making them aware of it. The problem is only "real" because of you, therefore it's your fault. That's what "stop being negative" means. It has nothing to do with how positive or negative you may actually be - it means "stop making me aware of bad things because that makes me feel bad".

I watch Louis a lot and I am using his words to fix an issue that I would have just accepted. I called the company to get a quote. They quoted me $20. I paid the $20 and got the equipment sent to me. 2 months later I get a bill for $180 for the remaining cost of the equipment. I told them I did not want the equipment for $200 and I would be sending it back they told me that it was past the one month return time and I had to keep it. I now know not to trust this company using the phone. I wrote a letter giving the company three options. They have been told to only respond via an email because of their inability to honor verbal contracts. 1. the company can honor the agreed upon price of what I bought and paid for. 2. Take the equipment back for a full refund. 3. Refund my money and let me keep the equipment as compensation for my time they wasted. Thanks Louis, I wouldn't have stood up to them without your videos. How's that for positivity?

Louis was originally a productive KZfaqr providing great tutorial videos on circuit board repair and DIY fixes. Then the industry turned against him and tried to box him and his peers in the repair industry out. Then NYC created a direct attack on his business via its tax office. He's had a consistent moral compass the whole way through. He does not like bullies. He doesn't like state driven oppression via big business lobbyists. He doesn't like bloated government bureaucracies. These videos have brought to light many anti-consumer practices. Please keep up the great work, Louis!!

I got fired a couple months ago from a local/regional health insurance company for "being negative". I was constantly pointing out their office in another city over was clearly not holding people accountable for mindlessly sending over all of their own mail and work deliverables to us, but it was easier for the corpos to say I was being unprofressional or negative rather than admit they were getting played by dozens of people collecting paychecks for work they're not doing. People on all levels of society are infected with this "complacency virus" that you spend so much effort combating. It's exhausting.

"If you're the only sane person in an insane world, who's really crazy?" Keep on speaking the truth Louis! It's when we stop fighting for these things that we lose them forever. Corporate greed and control is at the highest it's ever been. The CONSUMER should be the one that companies need to please. Not the Consumer being "grateful" for the services they provide. I've also been hit with the "why are so so negative all of the time" line. They fact of the matter is, I've always been analytic, critical, and highly interested in my trade. With regards to hardware and software development, there have been many changes that have occurred over the years that corporations have adopted that just make my blood boil. But beyond that, the world has become a crazier place in just a few short years. The answer is just as you put it: YES, we are crazy. To everyone else's eyes, we're raving lunatics. It must be nice to live under Apple scented blankets, and subscription based illusions of comfort.

It's simple gaslighting. The intent is to diminish your character as if it were "overtly pessimistic" to convince others you are imbalanced. Social manipulation. Even if the content of everything you say is correct they know they just need to make you look "cynical", "overly pessimistic", or "sociopathic". The fact is: You do this because you care and have your daily awareness entrenched deep in observing what these shitsticks are trying to do. We appreciate it. This is brought by people who abuse, manipulate and just want to control every little thing you do. Control is absolutely the motivator. If they could throw people in jail for opening the case on their [insert technology here], they would.

Anger is strength. We are in an age of learned weakness where men have been badgered and shamed into suppressing their anger. The multinational entities that want you docile and impotent so you don't do anything in response to their contemptuous treatment of the average person must be stopped with that same anger they (ironically) aggressively try to remove from you. Right to Repair is one of the most important armaments in the toolbelt of a functional society. It is not morale to demand that I ask permission to change, alter, fix, or adjust any property that I have exchanged money in order to own. Anything else necessarily means that you own nothing, and your property can be ripped away from you with no recourse. As far as I'm concerned Louis, you haven't been angry enough. I'd be in the basement of the family house, my mom would be sitting on a coffee table in the middle of the room, and lava would start filling up the room. I'd scream at her from the stairs to run, but she'd just smile at me from the table, and no sound would come out of my mouth. That is what I feel like when I try to express distress over these sorts of repeating issues, and people either don't care and/or don't even know what I'm talking about.

I also dislike "boomers" who complain about gen y and z, even though, they raised the kids that raised us kids to be the way they are. I love brutal honesty, and honestly I haven't met many who don't. Perhaps it could be largely an online issue where people seem to misunderstand each other much more than face to face. Truth, on the other hand, is not a very clear thing, philosophically - additionally, I find that some people are excellent at manipulating their truth, and it can be very hard for me to tell when they do it. Not necessarily lying to their own benefit either, often simply to defend/sustain their beliefs. We're all fallible, subject to cognitive biases and logical fallacies. I don't like generalizing truisms either, even if they sound nice. But I do think it's true that honesty can hurt. But nothing good springs from dishonesty or denial either. I think most people would agree, but they might have a harder time practicing it than preaching it.

Negativity multiplied against itself equals positivity. Cool how the math principal works out in real life.

Telling it like it is, always has been and will be if we don't do something about it. You ARE the crazy we need. Thank you for being exactly that.

Honestly your starting to become my favorite youtuber because of what you do , it's really great and nice. I'm also with similar mindset and that when you are out of flow or opinions or something is different you will be called negative or crazy. This is something I don't see nowdays , probably because everyone is busy being sponsered.

When you're negative against a negative, you may create a positive. Or something like that. I could not begin to quantify the hours of frustration you have saved many, many people. Thank you.
