Do a video on how important your minor can be in relationship to your major! I just graduated with a journalism degree and a graphic design minor. My job is actually just graphic design BUT when I got hired for my first real job they came back and offered me more hours and more money because of my major/skills I earned with it. If I could give ANY advice to a college student it is to pick your minor JUST as carefully because the way mine complemented each other got me my job and really made it much easier to sell myself to an employer.

But really go get a journalism degree! Even though I don't use my major like I do my minor, being able to communicate and write well is soooo desirable for employers.

Hi there! I plan on major in journalism and minoring in graphic design (just like you!) because I figured I have more job offerings with that degree versus a graphic design degree. However, my true passion is design and I was just wondering if it would be more beneficial to switch the two around? Aka major in design and minor in journalism. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!! :)

When you said: " my dad builds houses..." .....(I was shook) that just got me super interested! I don't know. I realize that I have this curiosity in learning how things work, how things are constructed (houses especially), the whole design process, who's involved in these team projects, how they work together etc. And I remember you mentioned in one of your past videos that your parents are engineers! I think it'd be so cool to hear an insight of the career from someone experienced like them! Thank you for these open and informative videos once again 💗!

i’m a senior now but for all of my years in high school i’ve been involved in newspaper and yearbook and even a pr intern. i’ve loved journalism since my first day in my pre-journalism class. After senior year I plan to attend MSU with a major in journalism (concentration in news editorial aka print journalism) and a minor in public relations. i love how i have so much experience in my desired field but i can’t wait to gain more!

I love this! I go to West Virginia University, and I'm a second semester freshman! I'm undecided in my major but I'm really thinking about declaring my major in PR/Advertising, with a focus in Public Relations. *I'm 20, halfway to my Bachelors (got my Associates in Science Transfer!) I enjoy pitching and business, but I love creativity and freelancing and don't care for the corporate world all together that much. I have friends who do both and they both look so interesting! I'd personally probably prefer SLP to nutrition because I think it's more hands-on work-wise, but if you go to a college that offers both you should be able to transfer between those two quite easily. :)
