How do you CLEAN a Philips shaver inside... and how do you change and REPLACE the round shaver blades? I've always used a Philishave electric shavers - currently series 3000, and share how I can take out the rotating blades, take them apart to clean and wash. Great video! I've always been a Philishaver and bought my most recent one in about 2008, replacing the blades just once in 2013. I ought to do it again. I've always been a bit disappointed when I look at new ones that they're all basically still the same base model. Nothing much has changed. I really want USB charging for when i travel for EVERYTHING but I can make one charge eek out about five or six goes which covers me for even long Summer trips.

@@DADDELIVERS I think initially USB wasn't used to charge razors, toothrushes etc as it delivered too little current, but newer PD versions certainly have enough. I think it's laziness on their part. It's really interesting to compare health and beauty goods and white goods vs other categories like cameras and laptops, as the core electrics really don't change for years and years.

Was it painful for your dad shaving with that amount of gunk ? Asking because my adult son's razor is always like that. He lives in a care home and it only gets cleaned when we see him, by us. He has very little communication so would not be able to convey any discomfort and might just appear uncooperative.

Hi Janice What a lovely comment to receive, thank you. I am delighted to let you know that it's not painful in the slightest. All that happens is that no stubble is removed however long you use it. He might even like the buzz and vibrations 😀 It sounds like he can't convey this, but he's incredibly lucky to have parents like you. I don't know if you can afford this but what if he had a second shaver, wonder if it would last longer between visits. Thanks again.
