You are 100% correct, I've been in the lending industry for over 20 years and all a score above 780 does for you is give you something to brag about. Someone with a score of 840 is not getting a better rate than someone with a 780. BTW I've NEVER seen anybody with a score of 850. In over 20 years best I've seen is 2 people with 848s. I don't believe anybody really has an 850 even if they say they do.

Hahaha! That's funny and good to know because there's a lot of finance people on KZfaq saying they have a score of 850 LOL. They were making me jealous for a while there before i came to my senses hahaha! Thanks for the comment!

Great video, I was seeking for a legit credit repair a while ago, I had tried the usual methods to get back a good credit score. Then I met a really good mortgage banker who does Home loans for California he introduced me to a Network Engineer "mastercreditfix@gmail com" that fixed my credit literally in 4 days and also cleared my bad collections, I was down to 455 before I met him, I'm happy now with 792.

Hi, I enjoy watching your videos they are very helpful and informative. I just recently had a huge hit to my credit score of 730 after I had to voluntarily return a car back and now my score has dropped significantly to a 609 and I was wondering if you could give me some helpful tips on how to build my credit back up again. thanks
@avburns
@avburns 7 жыл бұрын
Based on your comments, I wonder if the car loan (I'm guessing you financed the car) has somehow affected your credit utilization and/or the variety of different accounts you have on your report. If so, then getting a new car loan to replace the one you had might restore your credit score although it probably won't be an instantaneous thing. If you have some derogatory issues on your report then you would want those contested and removed (if possible). If your utilization is too high then check out the other MissBeHelpful videos to see how and why lowering it would be a good idea. If you have too many inquiries then stop applying for new credit and let them age off (about a year to lessen their impact and/or two years for them to get removed off your report). It's possible, depending on your trade-lines, that getting a new credit card and/or loan might boost your score; although you'll take a short hit, you should get a higher score over time. Finally, in the spirit of her closing remarks: just letting your credit report age will increase your score; i.e. keep doing good stuff like paying on time, not applying for credit, keeping your utilization low, etc. and over time your score will increase naturally. Hope this helps.

I love your videos! Thank you so much. Could you talk about car loans and credit inquires and how they affect your credit score? I want to get a new car and I am trying to figure out the best way to go about it. Should I get my own loan before I go into a dealer and if so how many can I apply to before my credit score takes a bad hit from all the inquires. Any advice would be helpful. Thanks!
@Djuane
@Djuane 7 жыл бұрын
chizzetel when dealing with a auto loan its almost always best to try to go thru your bank or better a credit union because they are more lenient when approving loans because they arent for profit like big banks. if your score isnt 700+ you could end up paying more than 10% in interest alone. also its bad if alot of lenders pull your credit when financing a car which is more the reason to get approved on your own first. each hard hit is 2 years to fall off so if you must finance at dealer try to limit to under 3.

You need to write to the bureau and dispute that with a formal claim. If you google the question there's lots of blogs that will tell you the step by step process of disputing and how long it takes to see results. Good luck!

Not sure where you get your credit score but I've been trying to increase mine and was on Credit Karma where my score was around 770. When I went to buy a car they told me, at a couple different places, that my score was 677! Any ideas why that is?

Do you have any advice for someone who has one credit card, paid down (recently my utilization was too high) got that down to zero and now I know the 9% trick). I don't have any negative dings, and I'm still in the high fair 689. My CS went up 2 points after I paid it down to zero. Any ideas how to get it up? Just keep doing what I'm doing? Is this a bad time to get new credit cards? (With good CC hygiene).
@missbehelpful
@missbehelpful 7 жыл бұрын
I'd say there must be some reason why your score only increased 2 points. I would look at the credit factors that are affecting your current score. You can do this by looking at your profile on credit karma. Thanks for watching and commenting!

You don't need a credit score. You're all missing the point. A good credit score means you're good at paying of debt... Which means you've been giving money to everyone but yourself. Think about it. If you're truly manage your finances well, you don't need credit.
