I agree. I love the game cause if the crazy fights and voyages you can do with friends also very calming just to sail across the see while listing to stories or talking to friends. Now i have to worry about people being able to sling shot their way across the ocean and board my ship without me noticing or a sloop somehow keeping up with s brigantine.

teaching someone about the mechanics and how to play, is a transferrable skill, that results in building your skill naturally. on the other hand, if you teach someone about bugs or exploits, that really leaves them in a bad spot when something they've learned to do and have gotten comfortable with gets patched and puts them back at a disadvantage.

I’ve spent over 144 hours on the game and still haven’t gotten pirate legend. I’ve only used an exploit once for one session. Only for about 30 mins. It’s the one where you go to a certain island with a gold hoarder vault quest, and then farm skeletons for this one rare loot drop. You go and cancel the quest, restart it, and it will be at the same island. I’m not exactly sure if that’s an exploit, but I only got it to buy a clothing piece. I wasn’t trying to level up or get a bunch of gold. Anyways, after doing it, I didn’t really like it because it was just boring. You were safe unless a ship comes near your tiny island in the middle of nowhere. I do not condone it because it is really boring. I’m not sure if you can get banned from it, but if you can, I definitely don’t condone it.

i would agree that doing exxploit to like dupe loot and stuff isn't super exiting (so is pve in general i guess) but there's a bunch of exploit that are fun to use like quickswap (rip) , crud launching, funny launching ect...

They only exploits i know about are movement exploits, i mean by technicality sword jumping is an 'exploit' something that wasn't intended but wasn't completely game breaking. It really depends on the exploit for me to make an opinion on it.

Okay but hear me out, show exploits that do absolutely nothing to benefit the player. Like the spyglass bug or meg surfing

I see it like this some exploits are okay While others are just not. Example the swords lunge that's actually an exploit that is something you're not supposed to be doing but yet everybody in their Grandma does the sword lunge. Little things like that I have no issue with. It's when people start using exploits like the Ford of the damn bury the Reapers chest so you can get more is an exploit. And the one they recently patched out being the shooting yourself out of a cannon and using the map to maneuver yourself and giving yourself pretty much super speed as soon as you hit the water was an exploit and it was extremely f****** b*******. Those are the ones I don't agree with
