@@sadboycare it is a looong time. I had wanted to quit 3 years prior but hadn’t set the plan in motion and so I really admire you (and every other former DCP cast who quit as soon as they knew it wasn’t working) yes it does take time to get readjusted and I hope all is well with you

if you’re looking for an internship with the imagineering team or a full time/part time job in orlando at the parks then yes i think the college program will help. i have found that it doesn’t particularly help with getting jobs with affiliated companies around the country tho. there is definitely room for moving up in the company, but it might take longer than you’d hope if you’re going into it thinking you’ll get a full leadership position right after your program. it also all really depends on where your location is and your role. i feel like this was kinda all over the place but i hope it helps a bit

Going thru their PI, professional internship program sounds like a better fit for you than DCP. DCP is often housekeeping, janitor, food service, maybe attractions etc etc

yeah except i only had 30 hours a week at $13 an hour so i made nowhere near enough to pay for a $700 a month apartment and still have enough to save anything which was the reason i did the CP in the first place

99.99999% of all KZfaqrs who have documented and shared their DCP journey have said that the program is not a financial gain and requires you to save up prior. It’s not a fair trade of time for money because it’s not normal employment. It’s essentially a money pit and any money you’ll really need to pay for your housing and food and normal adult bills will need to be saved up for pre-program. Your function there and the DCP is not a regular standard summer job. You’re essentially paying Disney to work their entry level positions during the worst days and shift times in exchange for souvenir and park-spending-money and their company name on your resume. It only benefits certain people.
