The KO3 has a completely different compound than the KO2. Acting like the new KO3 will be the same as the KO2 is extremely ignorant in my opinion It is a completely different tire. Not trying to convince you to try them, but I'd highly recommend checking out Nate's video on @OutdoorAuto comparing it with the KO2.

Comparing tires is one thing, first hand experience is another. I don't put any stock in tire spec comparison video's. Real world experience is all I care about. If that makes me ignorant, so be it!

There completely garbage I had a set for 30days on a 45 day trial and they swapped them out for falken at4w but they don’t stock them you have to order them. I’m very happy the tread on the ko3 was falling apart and they rode rough and vibrated the said I got. Bad set I disagree there garbage over priced

Personally have had 5-6 sets of ko2s on various of my vehicles and always find myself to going back to them after trying something different.

I have KO2's on my Tundra that I take offroad in Baja and they have held up great. Good traction in the dry, loose, rocky stuff when aired down a bit (20-25 psi). Previously had the original KO's and they chipped quickly on the same terrain (mainly from the rock embedded hard pack dirt road sections). It doesn't rain/snow where I go, so I don't have much concern about traction in those conditions. Never had balance issues with either...maybe I was just lucky. I went with the BFG's partly because of their stout sidewall to help prevent getting flats in Baja. I'm glad my KO2's still have many miles left to go so I can hear what the long term reports are on the KO3's, and also check out other options for the next set of tires.

I do agree that the KO2's are hard to balance and wet traction is poor especially on a diesel with all the low end torque. I might give the KO3's a try because it looks like they have moved in the right direction with the tread pattern and from what I understand the rubber compound on the new KO3's is different than what was used for the KO2's. I have never had the dry rot issue, probably because the tires are wore out in 3 years due to milage. I usually get to about 45,000 miles and then look for replacements. I am very tempted to give the falken AT4W's a try, they do look like a nice tire.

I had the OEM AT3WA's on my Ram. I was surprised by how good they were on snow and ICE even with 40k miles on them. Now I'm at 55k, and it's time to swap them out. I think I'm going with the AT4W's

2014 Denali 1500, 1 set of KOs, 2 sets of KO2s, recently bought 1st set of KO3s. All 275/65 20s. Over 160K miles with no complaints. Hopefully the next set of tires that I buy will have a brand new truck sitting on them!

Comparing the ko2s that came off my truck when I bought it to the falken AT4Ws I have now, these not only have better traction on and off-road, but they're quieter and not as stiff. Not to mention, like you said in the video, my tires were 2018s, replaced in 2023, so dry rotted that i wouldn't drive them further than 100 miles without feeling unsafe. Got about 4k miles on my Wildpeaks and so far I haven't had a single complaint, absolutely love these and depending on the mileage span I will definitely grab another set.

I was a fan for numerous years...I even have a set of white lettered out on my golf cart. The KO 2's didn't last on our HD trucks for all the reasons mentioned and we switched to Falkin. Waiting for the AT4 to come out in our size.

I agree with the cracking on KO2’s. I don’t agree with the bad wear. My last set had 50000+ miles and still had ample tread life left. I’m buying KO3’s when they are released for my current truck.

I have noticed a lot of light cracking appearing between the tread blocks on each set of KO2's that appears a few years after purchasing them. I've had 3 sets over the years. I never had any issues with the KO2's aside this 'cracking'. Is it superficial? Perhaps, but it doesn't inspire confidence.

I've had my KO2s for 70K + miles (and still going) in 5.5 years of use. I live in S. FL. where we have rainy (stormy) seasons as well as blistering summers. I seldom slip and the tires have not dry rotted yet. It's rotated and balanced about once a year and the wear is perfect. I haven't even aligned the truck in 5.5 years. I'm not saying that people don't have issues with these tires, it's well documented, but I have not. I can see how a pickup or any truck with a lighter rear end will certainly slip. As much as I'm interested in the AT4W, the weight is a big turn off.

I have multiple sets of ko2's on my wranglers and they served me well. I currently have falken at3 on my Maverick Tremor and they seem awesome but too new to say. My daughter put falken on her bronco sport and she loved them Regardless you certainly can't go wrong with the falkens

A/T3W were far and away an improvement over the like 10 sets of BFG’s I previously ran. The new compound had me interested but the new a/t 4’s with the longer range just seems to make more sense.

Thanks for your input. Tried the K02 and traction in the rain was bad and they had uneven wear. Was thinking about trying the K03 but I’m very happy with my Toyo AT3.

100% ...nailed it. My bfg's after 1 year blew a back tire and ripped up the whole right rear of the bed to pieces. Had it checked out and apparently the whole cap just let go.... destroyed my truck. NEVER Again will I buy BFG'S

I wouldn’t right BF Goodrich off they are continuing to address their tires weaknesses and they get better all the time, I haven’t tired the KO3 yet but I’m definitely interested to see how good they’re going to be, keep an open mind it might turn out to be a really great tire.

Have had them. Always an issue with balancing, traction ok at best, but from what if read, BFGs are a harder compound. But they were always horrible in the rain !

Last summer I was looking for a set of tires and they had a falken at3w, toyo open country at3, and bfg ko2 lined up in the show room and both the bfg and toyo felt soft on the tread, the falken was notably harder rubber. Now what the ko3 will seem like in comparison to its prior tire, good question.

I think you nailed it. They might have been the first to really get established as a "serious AT tire" 25 years ago,.....but I think many of the other manufacturers then put a lot more effort into making better tires while BFG seems to have largely just rested on their laurels/reputation. Currently have a set of 285/70/17 KO2s on my Gladiator that I can't wait to replace.

It's simply more of a street tire. The bigger the voids, the more weight it can throw back, creating thrust.

I’m curious do you know why BFG are putting rfid chips in their tires? To me personally that’s concerning and will probably “steer” clear of them. I personally value my privacy as much as is possible in todays time at least.

I have them less than a month..K03 are not for one each nail proof... my tire K03 got a hole with a one each very thin nail .. Before , I had wildpeak for 4 years and never had a flat.. K03 they are noise > they sound like a cloud of mosquitoes around your ears. good on rain will wait for snow how they do..I am not to happy with K03 ... they look good

Lol. I pre-ran the pro course of the SCORE Baja 1000, the toughest off road course in the world, in a two wheel drive pickup equipped with 285/70R17 (33") K02 tires. Obviously you know nothing about vehicles. You probably don't even know the first model year of the original GTO.

@@Gurn-xh5fg and none of that has anything to do with tires being hard to get balanced lol…which one you want? The first year the GTO package was an option on the Le Mans or the first year the GTO was a standalone model?
