This bike is very easy to ride and it's comfortable to ride. It's light, well balanced and fairly low to the ground from the seat to the street. I really enjoyed this bike because it has enough power to get you up to speed on the freeway and it's very easy to get off the kickstand without much effort. You don't have to be tall to ride it and you don't have to ride it very long to feel confident riding it. I would take this bike around town, commuting or even a long distance trip. You'd need to find luggage for an overnighter but again, it's comfortable enough to do some longer miles. I love the retro look and with some good gas mileage this could also save you some money at the pump. This bike has inspired me to do a top 10 list of the bikes I've ridden. Not sure where it will wind up but I really enjoyed it. Thanks to GP Motorcycles on India Street in San Diego, Ca. for the loaner.
Ride safely and I'll see you on the next one.

The eagle does not represent the century, it depicts the Moto Guzzi eagle logo or the “flying goose”.

I own a V7III, and just tried the V7 2021, it is “easier”than the V7III, even if it is 20% more powerful, it seem more progressive and linear, clutch is much lighter (don’t have to pull hard the lever) and you don’t need to kick the gears in like on the V7III ...and yes I was a beginner ...back then

I disagree about the beginner bike comment only because of the clutch. It's not an easy to replace clutch, is a large automotive style dry clutch not a small wet clutch pack that is easily accessible. My instructor at MSF told me to treat the clutch like a consumable item, but that's not on a V7 where the clutch is hard to get to. You don't want to learn how to use a clutch with this bike. This bike is for someone who knows how to ride already but wants one that handles really well.

Great point on the clutch. Didn't even think of that. I'll keep that in mind when recommending a bike for a beginner. Fun bike to ride for sure. Thanks for the information on this.

Slow speed maneuvers & steering lock turns slipping the clutch & dragging the rear brake on a Guzzi is no problem. I'd say just be sensible, for example don't slip it continuously while the motor is revving for great periods of time on a hot day. It's a dry clutch so you'll smell it when it gets hot, I never have tho. And, it never fades. Dry clutches aren't littering your engine oil with particulate either. These dry clutches are not unlike the BMW boxer engined bikes BTW.

@@rickyricardo9918 Depends on how slow, in Switzerland you have to maneuver at 5kph or less in the exam, so you'll have to practice accordingly. I did it with a V85TT, normal driving and maneuvering are no problem, but the clutch really doesn't like the extremely low stuff

Wear gloves for the sake of your hands!

I am always surprised when I watch reviews from our US biker cousins, how few a riders care about protection wear. In some European countries it is illegal to ride without proper protection gear for good reasons.

I think I've finally found a pair of gloves that don't hinder the flexibility in my hands. I'll try to remember to wear them more often. If not, I fully accept you calling me out for it. Ride safely.

A first time rider should start on a $1000 piece of crap, not a $10k Italian classic. 😐

Started on a Suzuki VL1500 intruder, crashed the 1st day. Got it fixed and rode it for 17 years, 85,000 miles on odometer I put about 70,000 miles on it.
