@@carusoinsights That's an interesting and awesome insight, Matt. Why did you think that was the case? I was just talking to one of my friends about this earlier today. Thanks to you, I positioned into $SHOP late last year and came out ahead this year. Is it because there are more traders than ever trading the IBD/CANSLIM methods? Pre-COVID, it seems like you can enter the same stocks as other good CANSLIM traders, but now that's not the case. I guess I would argue that pre-COVID, you would be positioning yourself opposite of most people too, because most people back then were not trading. Although when liquidity came in in 2020, you could've just gone with the flow and made decent gains.

Amazing brother keep them coming. Appreciate the thoughtful insight. *I also was looking at a chart of the energy sector looking back the early 2000's and noticed on the longer term charts (monthly) seem to be showing a large head and shoulders pattern. Could it be that we may need to be looking to short energy? Definitely not what many are thinking.. plus is your analysis is correct that would likely mean oil prices will be dropping. Plus inflation coming lower, interest rates pushing.. etc. 🤔

Crude oil has many elements to it beyond inflation. It i svery demand supply dominated, so I wouldn't bet against it just because I thought inflation will cool. Years if under-investment likely means higher than normal prices, so betting aggressively against it isn't my base case.
