I live on the edge of Arizona desert wilderness. I ride the hardpack trails, and with sealant no flats. I like the tannus liners, and sealant. Flats in the desert aren't fun, it's 115° right now.

Yeah. They're a tax we pay for such a beautiful, high desert playground. When I moved here from the Gulf Coast I was like "What is that!!!" Sun came out today! Got to enjoy a ride on the X3. @The E-Lightened Artist On the east coast, it is battery killing hills and cold Temps this time of year (was 15 degrees yesterday morning...that's Fahrenheit, not Celsius!), but warmer weather is on the horizon! Bike improvements...just thinking how many of us start replacing parts and components to improve the ride comfort, etc. Not sure how difficult it would be to create a "custom shop", but maybe they could make "performance" packages or something that give you a springer seat, mirrors, blue tooth connection to the display (that would be way cool), and so on. Mechanically, I would love to see an addional gear or two. Just got back from a ride, and on some of the long downhills, according to the speedometer (wheel Dia set to 28"), I hit 40mph. I had no pedal power left to give. While I don't necessarily need that speed all the time, with some of the roads I ride, if another gear made maintaining 30-35mph less of an effort, it would actually be safer. No bike lanes here in stick world. Traffic is always a risk, and heaven forbid if the gas companies are moving a rig to a new well pad!

Cool. I use the Armour plus flat out or self sealing tubes. I got a flat through the armour thanks to a 3 inch nail once. Didn't have the flat out in though. That was last year and haven't had a problem since. I think you'll notice a difference in the ride quality any way. Are you riding 20"?

@@TheE-LightenedArtist I just got my tannus armour installed and I have 4oz of flatout tire sealant in my tube since that’s how much the guys in the bike shop recommend. I’m hoping I can go at least a month without getting a flat tire. I will update after a month if I don’t get a flat tire

@@TheE-LightenedArtist UPDATE: I just ran through a 1 inch screw and didn’t get flat. So far so good with the tannus armour!

These are very lite. They actually improve ride quality and a slight uptick in range.

Definitely. The big thing around here is thorns which the tannus handles nicely. Plus the bike rides better. But nails are a different story. I’ve had good luck with the heavy duty tubes that come with sealant already installed. Running those on two bikes under Tannus and have had no issues. Got the tubes off Amazon. When it put it on my 27x2 bike I had to trim the edges. what size do you have and what size rim are you putting it on?

Hmmmm. What size wheel? Did a bike shop do it? Does the bead on the tire look seated? If installed correctly, none of that should be goin on.

I have 20 in wheels and yes, a bike shop took care of the installation.

They misaligned something. I'd take it back and make em do it right. I've installed these liners on 6 bikes now and never had that problem.

Hi. You would want the 4.0 liners and yes the thinner tubes. 3.o. Schraders are best because you can also add sealant to them.

And also in case you haven’t heard, the new H9s are coming with 1000w motors on both wheels I believe.

On 4” tires you can get away with using the stock tubes. It’s not ideal. The install goes much smoother with 3 inch tubes that haven’t been inflated before. But the first time I installed Tannus I used my stock 4” tubes and it was fine.

Once you get all the fasteners loose it'll still feel stuck. The washers on the axle are keyed and get lodged in the paint. I used a soft mallet and tapped the axle backwards a little at a time and it works free. Let me know if you get stuck on something in particular and I'll try to help.

Oh I'm so dumb. You were asking about the X3 not the H6. Same process but the axle slots in the frame are vertical as opposed to Horizontal. And there are no washers between the frame and caliper mount.

Well that's a given...Duct tape can fix ANYTHING!

After playing with it a bit I’ve landed in the 15-17 psi range.

These fat tires have to be checked every week or so. But I’ve noticed that with the Tannus, they stay more consistent.

They sell a 20x4. The stock inner tubes are ok but I suggest 20x3 tubes.

Tried to ride my new bike this morning (no armor) and got a flat instantly. Dang Goatheads!!!! I ordered 2 more sets of Tannus today. Impossible to ride without them here..

I just got my H9 last week and it’s unbelievable. I want to get the liners now to prevent me getting flats in the future. Great videos.

Tannus is a great company. Do you recommended adding the Flat Out solution to the tires with the Tannus liner?

@@TheE-LightenedArtist I know of 2 brands on Amazon, The Huntsman or the Heb Allscape, i went with Heb and they are also silent compared to the ebike tire noise

Cool. Which ones did you get? The tires on my first H6 are getting worn to the point that I’m ready for an upgrade.

Yeah. I wish it stayed as thick as when new. But the trade off is that it becomes more dense as it compresses. For me, the fact that it keeps goatheads at bay even after miles of use is fantastic. That’s the big issue in my area. But for others, they’re looking for something more bullet proof. Need to back up the Armour with liquid puncture sealer. I’m sure we’ll see improvements in the future. Cheers!

@@plutobars7700 My issue with those is that it seems once you've installed them they're not reusable. so, if you get different tires you have to get another set.

What size wheel? Some need to be trimmed.

You might have misinterpreted my video. They're fine. They're great actually. I put them on all my bikes. $180? Are you riding a trike? if so I'm jealous. Trikes are cool. I almost got one.

Ha! yeah getting one for the back is key. the front is easy to change. And actually, I think it improves the ride quite a bit. And for the 20X4" they're $69 I think. Worth it to me. I don't ride without em.
