What Is The Minority Mindset?
The Minority Mindset has nothing to do with the way you look or what kind of family you're from. It's a mindset.
Give the majority $200 and they will come back with a pair of shoes, but if you give the minority $200 they will come back with $2000.
Think from the mindset of a consumer and be the provider, that's the Minority Mindset.

I recently walked away from a $160K / yr corporate job. I feel like I’ve been released from prison. Life is so better now, I sold my Seattle condo, invested most of the profits, and moved to central Oregon, where the cost of living is waaaaay less. I live in a comfortable little apartment, and create educational games out of my home office. Every purchase I make now is considered very carefully. I have a few possessions. Each one serves a very distinct purpose. One of them being, my motorcycle, which I now have time to ride. 😀👍

Steph M: Spot on. I'm a barman right now and about 80% of everything I make is being invested or saved to fund a later investment. I live with my parents, so I'm able to survive and pay my dad rent (etc.) for less than £50 a week. That covers a few beers at the weekend and a roof over my head. What else do I need?

Steph M agreed. Once keep your eyes on the prize and don’t get sucked in, you’ll be fine. Also you have to set a clear deadline, and put pressure on yourself. I prefer internal pressure driven by my goals as compared to external pressure driven by the goals of the company.

I absolutely identify with what you feel. I've always been aware that my time on earth is limited. I have a problem with people who think that they somehow own my time. It is MY time, never theirs. A 9 to 5 makes me feel like I am in a steel trap, slowly closing on me. They take a persons time, treat the person like they are expendable, and yet they want 'loyalty' in return. NOT FOR ME.

I think all parents should make their kids work at some job like mcdonalds at 16, so that they would know how it is to work at something they don't like and be motivated to find what they actually like to do. And I wish my parents would have done that to me, because I'm 18 now, already worked an office job 9to6 in my speciality (architectural drawing) and a random mall's store job at full time, and I absolutely hated both, and now I don't know what to do. However, I learned one thing with those jobs. Two, actually: I hate working with other people, and I hated being stuck in the same place all day. Every day.

Hmmm, ever think about truck driving school? Then you could sit in your truck by yourself all day driving to different places. Seems like the perfect job for you. And cross-country truckers can pull in good money! You might also consider getting your pilots license and becoming a pilot. Then you could sit in the cockpit by yourself, or maybe with one other person at most, and fly around to different places.

How come all these people who say "i'll never work a jerb again" never had a decent job. There are jobs out there with great benefits, with interesting projects, where they push you to keep pursuing professional development and your education on the company's dime. You can work from home a few days a week, have flexible hours, travel, work with smart ambitious people who go out and have their own ventures on the side that you can learn from.

Exactly. That's why I get pissed when people say these things. There's nothing bad with a job. People only complain about them because they work for crap companies. That happened to a friend of mine. He was working for a company and he was promoted and the people at his job were stupid and toxic so he quit. That's why this country has gone to crap. Globalist mentality and not making society a better place. There's always good and bad people to work for. Find the good people that are a good influence. I have my own values, I want to work for someone who has the same values I have. I agree with what you said.

If everyone quit their 9-5 job, the economy would be fucked. Although I understand that you would want to be different than other people, stating that 9-5ers are boring or simple minded is an over generalisation. I work in the automotive industry and I love what I do. I make a difference everyday in some capacity and the pay is good. I'm glad you've found something that can make you money but working 9-5 isn't a bad thing and is more respectable in my opinion. Regardless, I'm subscribing.

If the economy went to shit because people started working for themselves that would be one of the best things to occur. This system is run by secret societies that prey on people for slave labor amongst other things they prey on people for. You said in your comment it is more respectable to work a job instead of working for yourself when you work for someone who owns a business themselves and pays you pennies on the hour compared to them.
@flashbash2
@flashbash2 6 жыл бұрын
I agree that there is nothing wrong with a 9-5 job. But I don't understand how it's more "respectable." How are the hours you work a better gauge at respectable work than what you actually do to make money?
@ivandunn1334
@ivandunn1334 6 жыл бұрын
Nomad602 If you haven’t already realized the economy is fucked. We’re trillions of dollars in debt and most people are making ends meet with credit cards. Borrowing money they’ll never pay back in their lifetime. As far your profession, it’s great that you love what you do. Can’t say the same for the other 70% of Americans who hate their jobs. Having a 9-5 is not more respectable than being an entrepreneur, it’s just conformity. Majority of people work a 9-5, that doesn’t mean you or I should. Doing the same thing at a 9-5 for 30 plus years has to be the definition of insanity. Live life how you see fit. There’s nothing that can’t beat freedom and doing what you love everyday.

I have a professional job and I have been hating it for some time now. I am very autonomous and I'm so sick of the office politics and incompetence. I have a few business ideas, but I'm scared to start and I don't know how. (That uncertainty you've mentioned and I have to provide for my daughter, so I need security and stability.) I don't really have the money for it, either. I am also trying to go back to school to get my Master's in Psychology in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, so I'm worried I've chosen a bad time to try and start a business and I'm stuck at my job for at least the next two years. 😑😒

Whether your realize it or not, those next 2 years will go by fast. By then you could have tapped into one of your business ideas and see if they worked. Try incorporating the Law of Attraction, Lord knows that worked for me. Think about what you really want but don't focus on the how it's going to happen. As Les Brown once said "the how is none of your business... the how isn't up to you" .... focus on what you want, and the "how" will eventually present itself to you at the right time. It's happened to me.

I'll give you a sneak peak, start building a brand (through social media and/or SEO) in a niche you are passionate about (and have some knowledge in). As you grow your brand, you will see many monetization opportunities by partnering with other businesses. Then, once you build up enough money or you figure out what you want to do, you can create your own product.

Anon, if you are interested in digital graphic then work as a freelancer, ask businesses and youtubers or instagram/facebook pages if they need a logo and create it for them, you can make some money this way and then you can decide if you want to get it to business level, or you can choose to start teaching people or go for a different business. With so many new youtubers and social network pages trying to get big and businesses trying to get into the digital, you'll surely find many customers that will need you many times and nobody will be able to replace you. To find other people that like your same things search for them on reddit, you'll see how many people do the same.

if you can use your hands, anything you craft, you take material price x2-2.5 and there you have retail value, then go to gift store and ask if they can put your item on the shelf and get a small percentage from it when it sells like 7% . You can also start a jewelry business with $150-200 usd quite easily if you live in the U.S or Canada. Something else people do a lot too is to look for comming up trends few months ahead their peak and buy stuff low off ebay/amazon/ali, buy single packaging like 10-15cent per packages receive everything, transfer in single packaging, put ina box send to AMAZON and they do the shipping/customer service/refunds for you. Can easily flip a $200-300 into 1500 and at one point it becomes more rewarding than your normal job

Depends. If the reason you don't want to risk being a "bum" is public perception, then you completely missed the whole point. If the reason you don't want to risk being a "bum," is because you really want nice things, then sure. But what you need to think about is that you can choose to live very modestly and many people don't feel more comfortable with more stuff. So if by other people's standards are that you are a bum, but you have a place to lay your head at night and food to eat and clothes on your back, then why should you cater to their opinions instead of being content and do what you love. Houselessness isn't homelessness

It took me months to land a full time job to where I almost went homeless. It's all good. One of these days I will get out of the rat race and be in business for myself.

@flashbash2
@flashbash2 4 жыл бұрын
@@NoName-sp5dp partly, yeah. Many people would consider someone homeless simply because they don't live in a permanent building. But there are many who by other people's standards are homeless, but they still have their needs, both physical and emotional, met and are living a life they enjoy. My point was that you're not homeless simply because other people think you are. Youre homeless when you you're needs are not being met.

+rocky rock my advice for a beginner, is to look into an app called Robinhood, start off trading with them, no commission and easy to use and start, but do your research and study and learn, don't just make an account and fund it and start trading if you don't know what you're doing yet, learn it then practice and then start, penny stocks are a good place to start with a small account that's how I started, and yes I have made %100+ returns before with penny stocks, I now trade options, I use thinkorswim with tdameritrade, just turned 22 and making really good money daily doing this, and started about a year and a half ago with a friend, just do your research man, paper trade "practice or fake trade" and when you're ready start off with a small account, took me and my friend only a year to learn enough to be able to profit, now I just bought a Challenger with money all from stocks, and my buddy's buying his first house "22" all from stock trading, put in the work & study & don't give up

Elon Musk is an idiot, and if his intellect was worth the money he got from it, he would have changed his name 20 years ago. Look at the ideas Henry Ford, and Thomas Edison had. They thought we would all be sitting on cement furniture, driving cars fueled by alcohol and made out of canabis. I doubt the universal income will come about due to 1. Cultural backlash in the US and parts of Asia. B. While the Europeans may get it, it will make their economies less competative 2. There are many jobs that machines suck at, not because they are poorly built or will advance in technology, but rather because they are machines.

So he left. 2 weeks afyer he landed his job, he took a wrong turn down a one way street. He hit a man riding a motorcycle. The guy lived but just barely. He lost his job... back to square one. Now ge makes more money than me but not enough to keep up with his loans, so his savings im assuming, is smaller than mine. Now his job is being threatened by computers, so... in the end, he will be broke, and his highschool drop out/ convicted felon brother, will have much more m9ney than him... thats so sad to me. Most entrepreneurs fail, 90% of them, a good job is a guarantee to a good life. You need to get down to earth and realize that the chances of you making it are really slim. You can bash me all day, but statistically speaking, it's just not worth it. Be smart with your time. The government prints money, there's always enough money to go around. Live a minimalist lifestyle and try to create passive income from your 9-5, it will take some time but you will be in good shape. Also you could save up become a free lancer and move to a dirt cheap country and live there. So there are options for everything and anything but make you are running a cost benefit analysis to anything you do so you don't end up screwing yourself because you missed some details that would of completely changed your decision. Good luck!

There is nothing wrong with a simple lowly 9-5 job, but you don't have to ever work one if you don't want to. It doesn't make you lazy to put just as much if not a whole lot more work into doing the stuff you want to do.
