I’ve never really had a problem with two groups meeting up and having a ruck. It’s almost just human nature for some to do it. When they start attacking innocent people and public areas though it’s just cowardly bullying. No coincidence loads of them are bowling about in Stone Island jackets thinking they’re top boys, when they’ve probably never thrown a punch in their life. Embarrassing.

Growing up in Bermondsey in the 50s how well you could fight mattered more than how important your dad's job was or how good your school report was. Nobody chooses the environment that they are born into or the natural talents they're born with if you're born with looks or brains you can use them to get on in life.if you don't have these but can fight, that's what you have to go with. I don't believe football violence has significantly increased or decreased in recent years its just a case of how much the press decides to report on it. I live in Bermondsey so Millwall are my local team I regularly take my grand kids without any problems. Ill admit they're not the greatest team in the country just like England isn't the greatest team in world but they're ours so i supporters them Millwall over the last few years have done a lot to improve conditions for families as well as lots for charity and the local community which goes unreported however if two cats have a fight within a mile of the Den the papers report violence at Millwall. During last years F A cup there was an argument in the crowd; one bloke asked another to stop swearing in front of his kids there was a bit of pushing and shoving and some verbal abuse nothing more. It soon calmed down. The next day the papers reported that because Millwall had no one to fight they started to fight among themselves. It's the press that glamorous football violence just as they do drugs and crime in general no press report on crime is complete without numerous photos of guns and knives like an advert for an action movie even though the guns shown have nothing to do with the actual story they're just standard pictures from the paper's archives to be used whenever they do a story about crime inb in case any of their readers don't know what a gun or a knife looks like

Rival firms fighting at football is never going to stop, however the solution is so simple it has been completely overlooked. March both sets of fans who are up for a row to an open field. Then let them go at it until an obvious victor emerges. People will soon get fed up of loosing teeth, getting broken jaws, noses and skulls. Or maybe they won't. The most important thing to remember is that football violence is never going to willingly stop.

I think the broken bones and chaos is what keeps lads going back tbh mate, why do you think they go in the first place? Some men are just wired differently, they need abit of chaos and violence. It’s better than being some road man going round stabbing and attacking your everyday average joe ain’t it. It’s a mutual fight.

You truly underestimate the rush such a mass brawl everyone gets from such action and the mutual bonding it creates. It is the major point this culture is still around. And secondly if you consider yourself a fighter you'd consider it earning your stripes losing some theeth or crack a bone here and there to reach a higher rank within your group wouldn't you think?

what they should do is say - "yes fine, have your fight, Here is a field on the edge of town, we will put up a beer tent for you. Go and have all the fights you like" the only thing they have to do is sign a disclaimer to say you cant get free treatment from the NHS if hurt. That would kill 99% of football violence instantly. Because ultimately, 99% of them would be exposed for what they are. And if it doesn't, good luck to them, enjoy your fights in the field.
