Why these reasons may feel true to you, this is just a hump that you should be proud of to have reached. This means you are doing something right. Stick around until the end of the video to hear my story about the moment I felt that I got over the hump!

I know what is stopping me from improving my English but I haven't put enough effort to overcome it. I listen and read a lot, but do very little writing and speaking. Other than that, I need to work on improving my self-confidence too.

I've lived in the USA for 16 years, I understand everything listening and reading and I read at least a book a month but my spoken English is limited to only asking questions and giving simple short explanations but I can't make an advanced conversation. I keep forgetting important phrases and words when I need them the most.

I'm not trying to praise myself but I have never seen anyone as consistent as me. I tried different ways to achieve fluency, even created my own ways to develop myself. There is a vast amount of words in my head that I think I'm not going to use. I just remembered them cause I had found it fun to know as much as possible. I created a bunch of sentences that I can recite out loud. When folks see me practicing they call me mad... But, When the time comes to talk and express my suppositions in particular situations, I start to gibber :( It's been more than 4 years already when I started practicing and it depresses me a lot that I can't improve my speaking skills. I think I should change my mindset.
