In today's current climate, Singapore is the place where people from all walks of life can come together and celebrate life, friendship, and family. I hope it stays this way because Singaporeans are truly very beautiful and have welcomed people to their shores regardless of their nationality, religion, or creed.

I am Singaporean, just for your information, foreigners can also enroll in Singapore schools, but the school fees are pretty high for non Singaporean. And most of the popular Singapore schools are full even for Singaporeans. So for foreigners, the schools might not be a so called very good school.

@@joshuasjapanchannel It's because international schools have really expensive tuition fees. Whereas local school fees are negligible for Singaporeans.

It’s interesting that many of your guests who have been to Canada were located in Vancouver. It’s a very diverse city. The environment on the west coast is reminiscent of Japan too - the mountains and the ocean are close.

Hi, Joshua loving your videos so far, peticularly the mix of english and Japanese during the conversation, as it was how my conversations went growing up in my household here in Vancouver B.C as a Japanese-Canadian. You'll be amazed how ethically diverse this city is. Also a long history of Japanese people immigrating here, and a really dark moment unfortunately as well. Anyways keep the videos coming !

Going back to Japan to work after so many years abroad probably isn't easy. I am amazed that Miu can still read and write Japanese (I assume so?) even she had her education in English all her life.

Locals can definitely enroll in international schools, however, the fees are too exorbitant for the average citizen, which is why you rarely find them...and if you do, these are most likely the kids of the 0.001%...
@nydeidith

locals (citizens) cant enrol in international schools...you need permission from MOE if you want to do so...need to have a valid reason why you child can't attend local schools (e.g. you intend to leave the country in a few years, your child has special needs that cannot be met by local schools, etc) ....if its allowed freely there would be a lot of people attending international schools (fees are high but there are a lot of wealthy people who can afford it)...

I as a Singaporean Chinese find Japanese 'distasteful'. Japanese are a lot of people who have no 'shame'. One moment they can act in some Adult-Vids and the next moment they can go out and behave like they are the most innocent people on the streets. Along the way they can even brand others as 'distasteful' when others don't dress fashionably enough. 'Humility' and 'courtesy'?? Please, that is only on the surface to blind and con the masses. Deep down inside they've never really liked other races or nationalities.
