A slight correction: You got the order wrong. The Tullys sided with Aegon, then the other riverlords followed. Because House Tully was the first to support the Targaryens, it became the leader of the riverlords.

@@thomasdaywalt7735 That is not the blackstone of Valyria, it’s charred black because of the dragonfire. Stories even say that stone melted with Harren’s family inside. The only blackstone within Westeros would be the Hightower of Oldtown which existed long before the Andals crossed the Narrow sea. That is a much bigger question.

@@stefanciocan1605 Aegon didn't wait tho? He claimed Balerion, started getting involved. First with Volantis, a test run, essentially, then he started conquering. It's not like the whole dynasty was warmongers and conquerors. The way it always looked to me was, that Aegon got into the Dragon riding business, fought against Volantis, saw exactly what Dragons could do in a field of battle, and started burning Westeros away.

@@99Bobson then why aegon did it ? Why didn't Gaemon the Glorious do it ? Why didn't HIS son..Aegon, or Aerys, or Meagon.. My point is, if this theory is true, it doesn't break the lore and it actually..give us some motivation for his actions. George Matin himself has hinted such prophecy in an interview, claiming that Aegon could even have had somehow predicted the great threat that would come from the north 300 years later, and that a united realm would be much better prepared for such an event...

How is it "cooler" he killed a Gardner King? Wasn't Argelac a lot more arrogant and bull headed than most in his time? Maybe not as much a much as King Harron but... if the Gardners are anything like their Tyrell bannermen of the time then, I can only imagine what the fight was over

@@thalmoragent9344 the reach has a history of pushing into the stormlands, it was almost 100% a defensive war, not only do the stormlanders not have the men to go on the offensive towards the reach but it would also be a stupid idea considering they’d be leaving their lands open to raiders from dorm and the river lands controlled by the ironborn

Fo the Stormlands have a decent amount of fertile ground as well, or was it just a "habit" they had, for some reason? @@thalmoragent9344 the reach wants the land and to vassalize the storm lords because not only would that make the reach the superpower of westeros (which they already were but it would be non disputable after the taking of the storm lands) and also after taking them over they would then have the strongest soldiers (the stromlanders) and most marshal lords (the marcher lords like carron, Selmy, swann and dondarion on their side, which would make them the strongest military forced on the continent, their army would stand at around 130K and they would also cut Dorne off from the rest of the kingdoms which would then make it easier for the reach to conquer them as well later on if they wanted

@@billychops1280 So they'd strongest, largest, and most well fed Military, as well as tons of land to mine if needed... Yeah, I can see that. Although it makes you wonder why Dorne wanted to fight the Stormlanders, maybe as retribution for all the times Dorne has been dissed by the other kingdoms for being "a bunch of foreigners", so maybe they wanted to prove themselves.
