"This is the group I was waiting for" is exactly what dawned on me while watching their debut stage and listening their album. They are literally the complete package, with no minors in the group, and a company that is willing to bet everything on them. It probably helps that their creative director is a former trainee herself who recruited most of the members through being friends and having a vision for them

I have the same concern for Belle. But I'm grateful that Haneul and Natty are there because, though they many not be as skilled as Belle, they also can hit high notes and can help relieve some of that stress from her.

I don't want Belle to destroy her vocal cords......

What I hope for them, is for them to bring HARMONIES to K-Pop. They all have great vocal abilities in their own rights. Like they would devour a song with harmonies. Cause we don‘t have that group in K-Pop right now. The only recent girlgroup to have harmonies is FLO but they‘re a British r&b group but none for K-Pop..

I'm really hoping that Kiss of Life doesn't become another "underrated masterpiece" like Purple Kiss or Craxy. It seems to me that a lot of groups filled with talent often get looked over because they're not in a big company or haven't had that fluke viral moment that draws eyes on them. Recently we've seen groups like Dreamcatcher and (G)I-DLE claw away from the "underrated" category to being mainstream and I think that's a good thing. As much as I love LE SSERAFIM and IVE, we can use more talent-heavy groups like Kiss of Life pushing the industry forward.

They are truly here to revive the K-Pop scene just as their name suggests

My favourite thing about Haneul is that whenever shes recording all she talks about is improving with her vocal coach, excited for the other members to come into the spotlight

I sang choir in school and me , and my friend constantly make jokes about how we could easily be a main vocal in most K-pop groups nowadays 🤣🤣 so pls bring back the vocals!!

I said it MANY TIMES that I like belle's vocals but the idol life is one that many times does NOT leave room to work on the voice and keep it healthy that's why many idols regress vocally in kpop (I would love a video on that btw) so I hope they don't make her do that every comeback

When I looked at the song details I found that kiss of life members have songwriting credits for almost every song. Including choreographing the title song. Kiss of Life's abilities are amazing.

While I'm a Nswer, I do respect some other K-pop girl groups, if they sing really well and give a great performance. Kiss of Life is one of very few such groups. I sincerely hope that NMIXX, as well as Kiss of Life, fly higher. They are genuine.

I said it once and i'm going to say it again: this girls can't sing, no, THEY CAN SAAAAANG. Also i'm glad i'm not the only one who is worried for Belle's vocal health.

Their music and vocals with their performances give off MAMAMOO vibes (three top tier vocalists and a top tier rapper). I'm also glad there's someone who knows that Batter up is underwhelming

For me they’re a perfect group: they have vocals, they have rap, they have dance, stage presence and passion for music. Every member is unique and suitable for the group (and also I love groups with less members, that’s just my personal) I hope they’ll achieve bigger success.

They will be big. There's no doubt about that. And it's clear their company believes in them and is putting everything in them. They know they've struck gold

Nobody Knows could be an unreleased Mary J Blige or Janet Jackson song, it's SO unique for the scene

Their music style very much reminds me of 90s R&B groups like TLC.

What i love the most is that their maknae, Haneul, had an amazing improvement in one of the latest stages they did, not that the was bad, shes a vocalist for a reason but she actually puts the effort, just like Julie, she def got the taste and flavor in Nobody Knows, bout her rap, no comment, she's the YG actual treasure

I've been trying to find a girl group to follow like I follow Blackpink, and Kiss of Life is the only one that got me. Maybe it's the mature concept, the hip hop, the confidence. One of the best debuts ever. The strategy of releasing the solos before the title track and creating the storyline I thought was brilliant. Having very distinct members, with distinct voices and distinct personalities is essential. They got me even more with their live performances, because they have stage presence, it's one of the most important things to me.

came back here to let you know that Julie, Natty, and Haneul actually mentioned that they started taking vocal lessons because they don’t want to fall behind Belle. I think this is great and we’ll only see and hear them improve. I think Julie has potential and I especially love her unique and raspy tone. After watching her Christmas cover, I’d wish she’d develop some vibrato at least. Also Natty has a great rnb tone but I noticed that she’s not as good when she’s dancing and singing. She isn’t as stable and runs out of breath which is understandable. But it’s really noticeable because she does really well vocally when she’s not focusing on dancing. Haneul is great too, but I think she needs to be confident in her voice. After watching the recording behind the scenes, it’s pretty clear that she’s not too secure in her singing. I think once she builds up her confidence, she’ll be able to improve her skills as a whole.

some ppl in the comments are downplaying belle too much lmao. her supported higher range may not be the best, but she knows how to use her voice so well. as challenging as kiof’s songs are, they don’t even showcase the best of her vocal ability, and that’s crazy to me. she has such a unique musicality rarely seen in kpop vocalists which i guess comes with being a composer. idk her predebut song venus and higher just shows her off so much more, first time i heard it i thought it was ariana but its still distinctly her because she had a thicker voice (?) in a sense, especially when she hits high notes there. comparing her to 4th gen main vocalists is pretty hard for me, just because stylistically she’s very different in a sense, especially lily and ningning. hitting the notes with ease technique wise, lily for sure is unbeatable but then belle has a better musicality so far in what ive seen. like her dynamics, use of vibrato, coming up with adlibs, harmonies, even the way her vowels sound adjust depending on what type of song she’s singing (like in kpop her voice is obv very pop, she kinda slurs over the words sometimes, but when she sings ballads her vowels are more open. like in a way lily sings consistently but belle is more dynamic

i usually feel cringe watching YT videos immediately after they come out, but i basiacally ran to watch this video. Kiss of life have come to save kpop

Kiss of life and Nmixx should be THE standard of girl groups. Not just bc they can sing, but they are groups that are overflowing with talent. Stage presence, dance and rap. I hope companies stop focusing on visuals only and debuting dozens who aren't ready to be idols.

I'm 12 and i'm training to be a singer and oh my god they inspire me SOOOO much. I even ordered a kiof album for my birthday to keep the photocard as a lucky charm (my bias is Belle but I don't mind if i don't get another member's photocard cuz they're all amazing). I love them so much, their energy and synergy on stage is exactly what i wanna do my best friends when i'll be older, the way they sing, their concept, their outfits.. i have to say this : i'm the biggest kissy !

I’m so happy the girls are getting recognized for their talents ! Also their artistic director is Lee Hae In a former produce 101 and idol school participant, so I feel she understands better what works with the girls and what doesn’t since she experienced being on stage too.

Love that you are indirectly saying that itzy, everglow, and le serrafim songs are technically and lyrically beneath KIOF's vocal potential and prowess. Most youtubers and commenters say "oh they are better than most" but NEVER specify which girl groups because they are just fishing for likes or afraid to be hated, which is honestly safe and a bit weak.

thanks for the video. as a big fan of kiss of life, i am so happy to see more and more ppl get exposure to them. all 4 girls are very well rounded, as in the video, even though Julie is not a great vocalist, she does not pull the rest of the group down. None of the girls seems like the lack any aspect of being an idol, all are at least proficient in singing, rapping and dancing, the most impressive aspect of kiss of life is the ability and desire to perform and sing live. yes, like all other kpop groups, when they perform, there is backtracking. But unlike many other groups (esp 4th gen gg), the volume of the back tracking is kept to a minimal. the back tracking is there just to help support and enhance their voices and not carry the performances. I cant wait for them to start touring and based on interviews they have done, the girls of Kiss of Life goal is to go on a world tour.

They really give off 3rd gen to me for some reason. I’m so excited to say that I was a kiof stan from DAY 1!! I noticed they’re becoming more popular and that really makes me happy

Kiss of Life has been such an exciting group to come across. It rare that I am the kpop community as a whole agree on what songs are good, and KOL is SO GOOD. The music is exciting and different. The fact that they debuted last year and already went to an award show this season speaks volumes of their star potential. I really hope they have a good and long career.

Belle's father is a famous Korean vocalist, and I think it definitely shows, or sounds, that she has had a musical upbringing, especially for her age. And then there's also the crazy fact that she was working as a songwriter for other groups before debuting and is also doing so in KIOL. She's a vocalist I can definitely see improving as well, and that's always a good thing for an entire team. Considering how few vocal lessons most agencies give even to their main vocalists, oftentimes an idol's best vocal coach is their group's main or strongest vocalist.

Now that Mamamoo is slowing down after dominating their era, I think KoL will move in and take their position as the industry's vocal power group. Mamamoo didn't really pop off until their 4th single, so I won't be surprised if it takes KoL a year to get their first record shattering hit. They have everything they need to be the next big thing, so I'm confident that they will rise to the top!

Ok, call me crazy, but I think Haneul sounds like NingNing! I haven’t seen anyone else compare them but especially in their most recent comeback I can tell when Haneul is singing because my brain first registers it as NingNing haha

in belle's lee mujin video, she explained how kiss of life is like cpr to the kpop scene, but not like they're reviving a dead kpop scene. i know she was trying to be mindful with her words, but i really do think they're here to revive a saturated kpop scene that needs something fresh and energetic again. there's a reason why so many people tuned in for shh and their recent fire cover. they sing live in most performances that many kpop groups don't even do anymore, on music shows and festivals. they're not just about aesthetics, looking pretty, or dance perfs, they're here to showcase a whole grand performance to wow the crowd with their vocals, energy and enthusiasm on stage.

I also hope that they‘re gonna release studio albums instead of 2-3 EPs a year. They only released 9 songs as a group and are already one of the best groups in K-Pop. Again, their vocal abilities are outstanding. And I would just love to see them releasing full length album with proper roll outs and promotion

I love KIOF , a lot of these newer groups are slaying kiss of life being one of them they're amazing, I wanted to stan groups no one has heard of yet and KIOF popped up in my recommended , I have very high hopes for em . The best part is that they're older , they're closer to my age so I don't feel weird liking them , you don't see many groups in their early 20s late teens debuting anymore

The second we heard Belle hit a high note during debut was the moment we knew this group has THE talent. Each member can lowkey do it all. They can all rap, dance and SING!

I am in my late 30s and old enough to remember the explosion in the 90s of R&B girl groups. This group reminds me of those groups. They have that same swagger and vocal ability. I like all the songs they have come out with so far even the solo ones. I would love to see them get an opportunity on a western talk show to perform because I think they will explode over here with the right exposure.
