Hey Michael great vid loved hearing your perspective on the topic of Korean cars. I think the main takeaway from Hyundai/Kia is that making a good car isn't a difficult thing to do lol. But what I mean is all of the car manufacturers have billions, if Toyota wanted to make a Bugatti or a Rocket they could, they just won't allocate the budget towards that. When you have billions all a car manufacturer has to do is source good materials like leather, woods, metal and this is kinda what the Koreans have done and undercutted the competition. I'm glad you rode in the G80, I test drove a GS350 F sport before the G80 and it was half the car the Genesis is. Again thanks for your insight can't wait to see more videos! -Kevin

The Chinese are next, and some Korean cars enter the US market under an American nameplate like Daewoo entered as Pontiac and Kia as a Ford Festiva.

I have a 2011 Kia Rio. Its only problem are when it's very hot the AC seemingly has to cool down the car's body too and it insulation is minimal. The other problem is it's a very light car and you really feel heavy wind. It does not have cruise control, but I don't use that anyway. I drove it from SLC to MI stopping twice for Motel 6. All around MI and PA. It's a good simple car. It was a used rental from Hertz. No regrets. when it snows you have to get the snow out of its path in the driveway as it is very close to the ground.

@@michaelcone4252 Here the newly launched Kia Cerato GT Line. It's called Forte elsewhere. and it's not GT. Just cosmetic sporty trim. And a normal 1.6L Gamma II engine. Becos of the peculiar situation here in Singapore. Cars are every expensive. A 2.0L or turbocharged Kia Cerato will not sell well due to competition with other brands. So Kia dealer brought in the 1.6L less powerful engine to compete in the lower price category (below S$100,000). Yes Kia Cerato here costs S$78-92K, USD57-68K.

I have seen many Hyundai cars after 2005 come in to our shop with over 200k and still running good and have also seen Dodge and ford cars fallen apart at just 120k me as a mechanic yes kia and Hyundai have come a long way since 2005 and now they are even better cars it is also embarrassing that the koreans have stepped it up with there quality and Dodge ford and even Chevys are still struggling with quality even today.

Haha toyota ...have same design 20yrs ago... Tundra same chassis for 20yrs...tacoma same for 20yrs... all them old... Todays hyundai Kia chassis is about 30 % 50% more rigid than toyotas... read... And drive, you will feel stiffness
