This is a highlight video for Marcus Smith, fly-half for the Harlequins. Smith debuted for Harlequins at just 18 years old becoming the second-youngest premiership debutant ever. The young fly-half has been extremely impressive since he made his debut and was finally selected for England in 2021 to face the USA and Canada. Smith also was called up for the British and Irish Lions midway through the Canada game!

Smith is head-and-shoulders above any other English fly-half at the moment. You can't see him adopting the safety-first tactics which have hampered England lately. His own confidence will spread to the rest of the team. I can't wait.

Smith is a true game changer. His confidence, skill, quickness, speed, and IQ make him a generational talent. Could be the best 10 in the world. I can’t believe the borthwick brain trust isn’t starting him. That’s why they lose and lose and lose. Any coach would be starting him. That’s why England continuously under performs their potential.

He shouldn't. He is a fantastic player, potential to be world class. Has great ability to run channels and recycle ball incredibly. But, You have to ensure his head is in the right place, while managing his development. He is a great player and should be slowly started on and off before be builds into the first name on the team sheet.

I’d like to see him play for England, absolutely. But he’ll get melted doing that goose step and may even get injured, it’s how he comes back after that and whether he will still have that confidence going forward with the ball. It’s great to see him and his skills in the prem, but players at the international level have seen this flare before and can deal with it, if he can continue playing like this at that level then fair play to him.
