I mentioned polygamy among Muslims and it is successful because one woman will not leave her place for another woman. Women leave you when they think you cannot attract other women. I am married to two women and I have two sisters next to each other and my wives get along well with my children. The thing that shocked me is that more Christians have polygamy. Of Muslims, 0.3 percent. This really shocked me. Among Christians, this is also a culture. It is due to men’s desire for biological diversity, and it helps prevent a woman from leaving a marriage because she does not want to share her resources with another wife. That is why they stay.

Then marriage will go back to those who started it Abrahamic religions, as it should have stayed. Being a Christian is a narrow road, being in a successful Christian marriage in modern day is incredibly hard. As Kevin Samuels said a Christian marriage is not for love its for duty. The Apostle Paul wished everyone could be like him and not need to be married but devote their whole life to God.

I’m married to someone I’ve been with 7 years and the only thing damaging our relationship is the fact that we’re married. It makes me anxious about how she handles finances because I’m responsible for her bad decisions and then there’s alimony if we breakup. Literally everything we’ve ever fought about is her bad finances. If we weren’t married, I wouldn’t care what she did because it wouldn’t affect me. And I could just enjoy the things I love about her. I wish I’d never married her but only because I think we’d be happier today. She admitted she’d still be with me if we never got married. But she said she doesn’t want a divorce because it would be a step back based on her being a failure with money and she’d be waiting for the final ax to come down on her. I just want a divorce but still be with her.

@@GBU61 She wants me to control the finances because she knows she’s bad with money. But she’s very disorganized and has poor impulse control as well as bad judgment. I’ve setup a system so many times about how to split joint bills, savings, her medical bills, etc. I even setup her own checking account so she could sound freely with whatever we allocated to it. But she will charge credit cards, move money around, then cash out her retirement account to pay her credit card before I find out about a growing balance. I’ve explained this still screws me over because if we divorce then she gets half my retirement which means I still basically paid for her credit cards. I’m upper middle class salary so should be no problem saving. She’s just kinda dumb honestly. Really sweet person but just dumb. Her accounts get hacked often. She knows she’s dumb abs cries about it lol

Start with being realistic about what marriage traditionally was supposed to do. It was meant to exchange resources and produce legitimate progeny. It offered companionship and security for both, especially the woman. There was nothing about happiness or love insinuated about the arrangement. This is why arranged marriages were common among the elite for centuries. Men, once the children were produced, could have mistresses or get their needs met outside the relationship as long as it did not affect the wife. How many people actually believe high profile people are with their spouses for love after so many years of being together? In the modern world marriage no longer serves the purpose it was meant to for centuries. It makes more sense to avoid it and have a companion who has her own home if he wants a woman in his life. The risks to a man today are too high when the woman holds the leverage if/when she wants a divorce.

Are you an ostrich? Perhaps a child? Talk about triggered with the facts? You need to grow up.

Divorce rate almost 50% now. You jumping out of an airplane for fun with a parachute with a 50% success rate? After 8-10 years 13% report being happy/content 3% blissfully happy/in love 80% divorces are initiated by women. So all those are terrible odds, now think about the 50% of marriages that dont get divorced and just stay together because its convenient or because of the kids. Marriage is broken 8n the modern era.

I am a grown woman, a Christian and a psychologist, majoring in marriage counseling. It takes 2 people not trying to change each other and always taking the other persons best interest as part of their best interest, respect and communication. Too many people take their past of pain and hurts to adulthood. Quit being defensive. It is my experiences and my opinion, just like you. I take his " it never works"as he is clueless. Don't perpetuate the destruction of family and marriage. It is a Covenant. His beliefs only add to the downfall of culture and our society. He is adding fuel to the fire!

Rich what do think of "Men going their own way" KZfaqr "huMAN" recently revealing he has been "married" for 1.5 years. Intentionally hiding it from his paying subscribers while under "going my own way" lifestyle banner. Imagine if you revealed to followers(paying and otherwise) "Guys I actually been married for 2 years! Suprise!, I kept it a secret because I wanted to keep receiving your subscriptions, likes and of course $$$MONEY!"

His mindset is that of an entrepreneur first. His business mind is why his message is better distilled than many others in the male space . Rollo needs more of this. Rich gets straight to the point, and his message leans on the actionable side more than on the theory side. His business like mind helps , not hurt his breakdown of all these social and relationship issues.
