I gotta agree with Darius on this topic. I treat single moms and people I know in general respectfully, but the harsh reality is yes single moms are hard to date. I don't intend to date one cause I don't wanna risk going broke and in debt paying for her and her children's needs, likely won't be accepted by the child depending on his or her age, and of course there's the risk of the baby daddy still being around being a major distraction the relationship. Notice I didn't mention the single mom's personality. Even if me and her have enough interests in common and get along well that won't take away those 3 disadvantages I just mentioned. I could've mentioned more, but I won't.

It's bold of some men to assume that single mothers will bother looking their way, most single mothers are already uninterested in inexperienced men with no children or without an obvious love for children. They sense that energy when it comes to their kid/s.

The difference for a single dad is that women dont assume the provide and protect role, so him having children isnt the same type of ‘baggage’ a baby mom comes along with, so the same rules DONT apply. Some women without kids have just as much issues. But they not ready to talk about that. Having no kids don’t always equal a “good” life.

Most single dads can’t be bothered to take care of their own kids, so it makes sense they don’t want to deal with someone else’s. I’m a single mom but was married to the father of my kids for 20yrs.

Being that there are a ton of women, who will not bring common sense to this issue, let's agree on a few points. (1) When speaking of a woman's worth, in this case, we are only speaking of single mothers, as potential mates, in the dating/relationship marketplace: (2) By definition, a single mother will be bringing additional people into any relationship, raising the degree of difficulty of that relationship; (3) There is something to be said for two people experiencing life eventa together for the first time (i.e. marriage, kids, etc.); (4) Relationships with the children's father will require some management; (5) Some men may not to want to feed and cloth another man's kids, on one hand, but not have a say on discipline, on the other; (6) No matter what may be claimed, single mothers will bring their coparenting issues and baggage to their new relationships Before some of you triggered women talk about men having baggage too, from their past relationships, it is nowhere near the same if they aren't a parent. Men having issues too doesn't detract from or disprove what is being said about single mothers.
