I love the scoot. We had the big metal slide as well as the merry go round that we loved to push hard enough for someone to fly off

At 18 I announced that I was moving out and my dad asked if I needed help, and when I said yes he went to the front door and opened it

Yep, I8 was the cut off point for living at home. The slide at the park was incredibly high and hot as heck. We used to sit on a sheet of wax paper which gave us amazing speed in flying down the slide. Best friend broke her arm falling from the monkey bars but we all still played on them, evening hanging upside down....LOL Fun memories!!!

Too funny! On days us kids gathered at the steel slide, I would run home and ask my mom for a sheet of wax paper & we'd polish the slide with it before everyone slid down. Right next to the playground was a family with two sisters and they both broke their arms on the monkey bars!

Yep, graduated high school early and in the military before my graduating class graduated. 43 and retired with pension and still have a ways to go✝️

Same!😂 Our playground equipment wasn't for sissies, that's for sure. When I was 6 yrs old (many moons ago) clumsy me fell off of the tall slide ladder and landed with a thud. Today they'd call paramedics and call the parents. Back then they helped me to my feet and I shook it off. Told my parents when I got home after school.😄

Yes!! Homeschool mum here!! Anytime I have an encounter with staff where they struggle with change, I give it to my kids as a mental math question (if they weren't with me at the time, ie I've run in to a store for something, they are waiting beyond the checkout etc. Rural West Australia, different world...) They can always give me the correct answer immediately. I always told my kids, no calculator until you can use your brain😘
