NOTE FROM TED: While some viewers might find advice provided in this talk to be helpful, please do not look to this talk for medical advice. We’ve flagged this talk, which was filmed at a TEDx event, because it falls outside TEDx’s curatorial guidelines. This talk only represents the speaker’s personal understanding of and experiences with insomnia, chronic pain, and mental health treatments. TEDx events are independently organized by volunteers. The guidelines we give organizers are described in more detail here: storage.ted.com...
Roman`s research on sleep medicine, brain imaging, and mathematical epidemiology gives hints on the concrete application of science in our daily lives. His research focused on sleep medicine, brain imaging, and mathematical epidemiology. Based on his research, he created an integrative medical program “Soma System.” He is also the founder of an American non-profit Healing War Scars and Ukrainian charity Warrior’s Heart in Ukraine. These two organizations use soma system methodology to help veterans to re-integrate into the society. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at www.ted.com/tedx

Thank you for sharing your work. My client passed down the link to this video. This work is much needed in our society with a preventative and holistic approach to understanding humans and getting to the root causes of disease.

In the future it will simply be testing and personalized treatment that is what you will pay for. As of now it's generalized masking with people enlisted making judgement from 1980s medical textbooks. More and more people get fed up or worsen and are forced to figure out their own problems. Moreover at a lesser cost and more efficacy than the industrial medical complex. Surgeons are the only exception to this rule as they actually attempt to correct the problem through physical intervention.

@@slarzyer I'm glad it works for you, did the trick for me too. They say like 50 percent of people don't get enough magnesium, just keep in mind that minerals compete for absorption, so make sure you get your zinc, iron, potassium, etc throughout the day so they have time to absorb separate from the magnesium, sometimes supplimentation can cause other difficiencies, because it prevents the other minerals from being absorbed.

@@slarzyer I believe manganese competes with magnesium. Zinc does too, but zinc is better in the morning anyway. Probably manganese in the morning since it's usually found in an abundance in fruit and I've seen skin and hair b vitamin complex that also have manganese. So just be careful. I just don't like that some scientists/doctor/people in general go around talking about certain science and medicine as if it is already standard or concrete when in reality it's more like a game of who can safely say what, and then turn around and sell what they say.

The microscope in the doctor's office is nice, internet-connected with the remote expert looking at the sample, controlling it, determining which microbe made you sick, easy and effective and correct prescription. A competent medical industry would have had this long ago.

Surprisingly, after a prescription, there's no followup mechanism in place for the doctor to find out if it worked. In what other profession do people act without any means in place for finding out whether they are effective? Hmm, Julie hasn't returned in five months, she either picked a different doctor, got well, moved or passed away Next please.

Most people are not ready to change their unhealthy habits and what they want is quick fix. Modern medicine can fix a problem quickly but solution may lead to another problem requiring another fix. For modern lazy man, modern medicine is only solution they deserve.

I may not agree fully with you. I have excruciating headaches since the age of 9 to this day and I am 47 now. I was given painkillers by my parents and went to live on naproxen for more than 2 decades. I lived at the mercy of naproxen and no doctors I paid so much help me feel better. These pains almost burnt my stomach for 3 decades. I got to know nutrition in 2020 and a friend of mine helped me get magnesium citrate. Thats a game changer in my life. The truth is that I didn't have the means to know about the nutrition and also money to afford. I am grateful to God and my best friend who helped me wean off 3 decades of dependency on hyperdosw naproxen. It's not laziness. It's the helplessness of comman man to know what rhey are suffering and what they need to do and a job to afford the nutrition. Nutrition is hyper expensive but not the pills over the counter.
