@@appo9357I wouldn't hope to be on an ISD honestly with how misused they were by the empire. Chances are your ISD is gonna be sent out on its own quite a bit or with a very small support fleet if any. Usually, they just sent another ISD with you, which does nothing to cover the ISDs biggest weakness unless they have advanced fighters like the tie defender to combat the rebellions xwing but they never were mass produced enough to give to every ISD so that's unlikely which means your ISD will probably just be given tie fighters, bombers and maybe a few interceptor squadrons all of which are unshielded with no hyperdrive and will get their shit pushed in by a few fairly skilled xwing squadrons if they aren't immediately overwhelmed with numbers. Once fighters are lost the ISD is a sitting duck for smaller ships without a support fleet which is how they usually got taken out since xwings are highly effective at hit and run tactics given that they have shielding and hyperdrives. You'd be better off working in a government building somewhere in the core as a cook if you wanna be safe.

Star Wars Tie Fighter games gave us unique opportunity to look into Imperial Navy. They spent most of time not fighting rebels, but stopping drugrunners (spice!), chasing pirates, quelling in-system civil wars, and generally being Force for Good TM.

Majority only saw what Empire did for them such as bring security of trade by eliminating pirates, ease of movement like you don't need to sign forms everytime as you got your id of citizenship and you are good to go. I always go back to Admiral Sloane, in the Aftermath book series she said her planet was ruled by gangs and chaos, then the empire comes in and puts the gangs out of business. I think its very important to know and learn from the studies that Allen talked about in t he video. If people even a small % know and understand that a very small % of their neighbor's and community would speak out to something everyone else agree with then that could give that one or two persons the courage to speak out as well. It really only takes one person to get the ball rolling but you need to know and understand that it takes a person and knowing that person could be you is empowering.

Something that contrarians have to remember, though, is (from "The Expanse"): "Just because he's an underdog doesn't mean he's a good guy." Forgetting that is why in the news today I saw American Feminists marching under a Taliban flag.

im not mentally or physically able to join a rebellion. conflict can cause a panic attack. but im proud enough to say the last year ive learned ways i can live under imperial rule as i probably would, and not help perpetuate the system. after all, rebellions need more than just soldiers. and im pretty good with numbers, i can find ways for a few supply shipments to go missing inexplicably

Admittedly, I used to be a big fan of the Empire. They were orderly, they were organized. The rebels, on the other hand, looked like stoned hippies. As an adult, I see it differently. Organizations like the Empire are always corrupt, they can't help it. They are also completely unscrupulous and do not care about the well-being of their citizens. And why should they? The same citizens play absolutely no role in the power structure of the organization. I also think it's right that you deal with the topic. The empire is fascistoid, and nothing else. It serves to maintain the power of a single person, and that is ultimately what it is. P.S. I am German, and the Third Reich was terrible.

@@tweektweak3274 I think they come across more liberal in comparisson, but you also need to account that Palpy didn´t care about any majorities in the population anymore unlike the AfD who needs to win votes and majorities to get into power and execute their agenda. You can probably compare it to pre-clonewars/clonewars palpatine when he still needed to apeal to the masses/senate.

I think when you're wondering what you'd do in Star Wars, it's probably a pretty good starting point to think what you've actually done in your life, in a lot of ways. Personally didn't have a whole lot of choice in being pretty much ejected from 'the system' as it was thirty to fourty years ago, at least if I wanted my sanity/soul, so I suppose I imagine something similar. (I mean, one might imagine different policies and circumstances in a whole different world/whatever planet or whatever, but that could lead to almost anything for anyone. ) So, I'd probably end up somewhere between resistance and just surviving almost *as* resistance. :)

Thats the thing it would really depend on how hard they'd come down, if they were fairly light I'm sure that most people (myself included) would support and even join them. If they came down really heavy then more people would fight but without the meta knowledge from the movies we would just see a galactic government being attacked by terrorists like saw and the cavern angels, a number more would likely join just for a chance to get off world and see more of the galaxy such as myself

Exactly ! If you live on an nowhere planet at the ass end of the galaxy like Tatooine the empire is your best bet to get off world and make something of yourself. Luke originally wanted to join the empire .
