I came to regret spending 5$ on Nova Launcher after seeing the Microsoft Launcher. It's THAT good! I use it on my old S3 Neo and I can genuinely say that it has all the features I ever wanted from Nova, plus the amazing Bing backgrounds

@Nikhilesh Kumar Malik Nah bruh. If the rom comes from unofficial site and not from Samsung itself, then that will just update the interface and not the android. You can't upgrade android by flashing custom rom. Yes technically it'd be stated in settings>about phone you're on more updated version of android after flashing, but that's a lie and you still can't use the actual features of newer android. Also, if you're using Samsung, samsung have been advanced enough now that they could detect if the device have been flashed with custom rom or even rooted. The device itself will tell by pressing combined buttons. I speak by experiences too.

I have note 10+ device . Before this , im using Iphone 7 plus . Now , i no longer need to carry a big junkie laptop just to make slideshow for my work , all in my note 10+ ! Its really worth the money when you know how to use it .

Ya galaxy note mmg ada banyak fungsi yg convenient kalau berbanding dengan iPhone. Tapi sy dah beli satu iPhone X second hand instead of a second hand Note 9 kerana banyak smartphone android lepas 2 atau 3 tahun sudah lag. Tapi iPhone masih cun lg.

OneNote really needs more pen options on android. I get so many for my apple pencil but only a few for my spen. It also needs native pdf support instead of that stupid *printout pdf* feature. Other than that onenote is a joy to use because of this cross platforming. I use my windows laptop, ipad and note 8 for onenote. Sync is amazingly fast.

They could REALLY push their Apps with Supports for the ones that use it with a Stylus or would like to use them in Android or parallel to Windows. Sure, there are few Androids devices, that support it, but they would find customers. And they may even help to distribute Stylus Tablets. I really enjoyed working with Onenote on a Windows Tablet with onenote. It really was a blast to use as a Student. But it NEEDS to be improved. For example Rulers and other stuff. They should really push it for Students, especially for those with eg Mahts, Informatics, Electronics, physics and so on. Indlcuding proper PDF Support. If they then add Stylus Support for Android and enable PDF Support (writing to imported PDFs) it would be THE POwerhouse for any Student. At least on the mobile Market (Tablets) this is where Apple is way above: Using an iPad with their Stylus is incredibly great. "it just works".

Sorry but did you bother too even check before making such a bold statement lol. The app is called "write on PDF" by Samsung in the app store. It's useful for jotting notes, signing legal documents. The main attraction for me was the ability to sign contracts, I work in banking and IT and switched to the note since the note 2 came out and the note 10.1 tablet. The iPad pro is great for drawing and the Microsoft surface is pretty good too. I also ended up getting the samsung slate for PC compatibility, the SPEN is definitely the best stylus around there and had the most useful functions, even switching between devices it's pretty amazing what it can do on other platforms. I love my iPad pro for artistry as there are lots of apps supported because of popularity like Adobe but there are plenty of other apps on android that can be used as a compromise, as a actuall productivity tool though the SPEN can't be beat. I find myself reaching for a SPEN more than the apple pencil. If the apple pencil does come to iPhones I hope we get more useful features for productivity as IpadOS is great now and can function like my old galaxy note 10.1 tablet, which I have found I use more than before with the new updates.

@@sagichdirdochnicht4653 I think your not looking hard enough for apps and used both devices since conception there implementation of the stylus. The note is the choice of phone because the SPEN can be used to sign PDF documents and edit them, the note has always been a dream device for corporate users and because of this the general public or average consumer is unaware of the ability and features of the note line. The other device cooperate users are looking too is the Huawei line with it's desktop mode which is amazing for presentations, meetings and lectures

I have samsung's write on PDF app. Also have the original Samsung Notes (not the one that comes with note 8 and beyond) app which allows PDF imports and editing. Squid is also great for editing pdfs. I am asking for OneNote to have a native pdf editor so that i can sync that with my other devices. Samsung notes and write on PDF are android only apps.

Got both comments both jumbled up, had to go something asks got distracted then ended up replying too both comments ( which I only discovered it was two diffrent people) if that makes sense. So your wanting one note to a native pdf exporter with the ability to edit the notes. Got mistaken and thought you were saying there's no way to edit PDF files lol. Peace :)

Probably something to do with Gear VR which is powered by Oculus. Since Facebook own Oculus, Samsung have to have a pre installed Facebook app. I just disabled it on my Samsung Galaxy S8. It's a pain that I had to do this, but the app itself uses less than 1mb of storage.

Sorry to say this, but one of my favorite phone 📱 was definitely windows phone, i loved the tiles and the animation that the had, i loved how the phone was always fluid even if your memory was almost full, i loved how responsive and friendly it was. Wish that system was back and had better integration with new phones.

I was in a big need to scan some documents for my resume and didn't have the time for using my hard copies to be scanned through an actual scanner. So, I downloaded and installed the app "Office Lens" into my phone and it did the job perfectly and saved me alotta time tho'. Good job Microsoft, your apps are spot on and top-notch👍

was wondering when your next indepth analysis was going to come ... and there it is! another great video! can you also do something on the asian market, let´s say how companies like samsung, LG, huawei, sony, xiaomi have come to be business partners in some areas and yet compete for markets, technologies and supply. there are some examples that always let me raise an eyebrow, like why apple uses 2 screen suppliers for its devices, like the ipad pro or iphone x etc. yet apple competes with those companies too. also, how well do giant companies like samsung, LG or sony manage their work on consumer electronics like TVs, ACs, PCs, Phones and tablets. there are so many examples. we mostly hear general trends like that the smartphone market is saturated and phones sales are in decline. Apple has started to produce services and sell because of that - and not seen before: cooperating with its competitors like LG, Sony, Samsung on their TV platforms. But how well do those asian companies fare themselves? Also, can it become worse for the smartphone market when it is not "just" saturated but gets even OVER-saturated? I guess you have some interesting explanations and predictions up your sleeve! looking forward to your next video!

yep, I would say even that my new android phone is not more stable than my 3-year old 950 XL, and that with sd810 vs 845, 3gb ram vs 6gb :D and it had some little things that I miss too much to enjoy android

@@jameswalker199 or, part of it was because of reviewers that talked bs, just like you do all my colleagues that used Win Phone/mobile said they liked it, and missed it, if even a bit, by going to android. ugly is in the eye of the beholder the software repo had lots of apps, more on win 8 phone than win 10 mobile have you used it for more than month?

It's true that Apple integration is much more seamless and just overall better (yet), but Microsoft really started doing their homework past few years, and considering how much progress they made with the phone integration so far, I'd not make any assumptions on what could happen in the coming years.

YES - OneNote sync with SNote would be AMAZING and a HUGE leap forward!! Both are my favorite note-taking apps and syncing them to one place is a dream come true! Also, I really love your style of videos 👍

AMD is magnificent in making integrated graphics while having dedicated-gpu like performance. Look at the Ryzen g series or the collab they made with the intel compute stick. The current mali gpu sucks. That's why.

Because they can't sell their flagship phones with Exynos SoCS anymore because of their abysmal graphics performance compared to Qualcomm's. Samsung has cutting edge semiconductor manufacturing capabilities, if they can combine it with AMD's graphics expertise, they might just catch up to Qualcomm's Adreno GPUs

I actually use the Google and Microsoft apps/programs on my laptop and phone. -Keep for basic design ideas, Outlook for more important info. -Docs for quick write ups, Word for resumes. Google Drive for Nova Launcher saves and misc. OneDrive for important word files. This is also good for getting those extra cloud storages and just organizing personal and professional life.

I still think Microsoft can do _alot_ of work on their mobile apps. I use one note (only so I can use it integrated on all devices) and it's quite ugly and confusing compared to samsung/huawei notes

Bixby is the biggest downer of being a samsung user. I've s3 s5 s7 and now s9+ and being 2 phones in to Bixby era, have never used it. Disable it as soon as I get the chance, they need to give me a good reason to use it or let me remap the button. Or get rid! I'd still choose a samsung over an iPhone but this silliness is enough to make me switch to the pixel.

I avoided Samsung phones for this reason. I bought Note 10 this time, just because this phone finally ditched the dedicated bixby button, and you can actually put it away where you cannot see.

@Ghoste Dragon The biggest reason is that I just couldn't care less about yet another AI assistant, and it's not that I specifically hate Bixby. Samsung can keep working on it as much as they want, but I really don't want a dedicated button for something that I will never use. Second reason (and a plot twist): I'm actually one of those Cortana people and I'm not planning to switch just yet.

Lack of meaningful data mining capabilities mean inabilities to make sense of sentences correctly. Inabilities to make sense of sentences correctly leads to lack of usage. Things they both innovated/developed back then, Android and iPhone are adopting it now days. Some of the examples: Dark Mode, Category search in settings, big sensor camera, mobile to desktop interface, NFC :D

FYI, they've been working together since the Note5 and S6 And they share similar tech : - AoD - Continuum and DeX - Bundled Microsoft Apps - Iris scanning - They even use the same narrator for their recent product videos

What I like about Samsung Pay is how you can use it with the screen off, unlike Google Pay. It's just a shame that my bank here in the UK doesn't support it.

Samsung Dex is based on Android , not microsoft! Google released freeform window in Android 7.0.

He's referring to the Integration of Windows apps on Dex. Office apps behave more like the full PC versions on Dex.

I don't know about that, but even then, not all companies develop a good UI for freeform. Microsoft recognizes this as something worth doing, and since Dex is a Samsung product that uses this UI to achieve a good productivity experience, the Dex/Office partnership (though not an exclusive one) benefits both companies.

@@nawarelsabaa The thing is all app developed for Android Nougat and up support this window system, they don't need to do anything manually! There is a API which lets the app developer not to allow activities resize-able but why app developer ever want to force user not to allow they app to use freeform window? So, most app developer never used this API , only some manufacture used this in their app like camera which have problem with windows resize. So, basically all app allow freeform window. Yes, app developer can optimize the experience but as he directly pointing MS for this whole functionality isn't true. You can use Google Docs without any problems with freeform window. So, what does MS did actually?

@TechAlter - coming from a Windows phone, looking to replace that phone I am interested in the Samsung Note except that it has done away with the headphone jack while increasing the cost to a place I do not feel the value to cost balances. Is there perhaps a phone that has incorporated this Microsoft ability while keeping a headphone jack, Dolby (dual) speakers, additional onboard storago capability, perhaps 8/256gb or a 12/256gb, the ability to create 4K videos with stabilization, and having a pen would be the icing on the cake for somewhere around $500US? I am willing to explore an import but it would also need to provide 4G LTE bands for US use with TMO. I find your videos very informative. Thank you for the time you put into these.

tbf notificartions, calls, messages and a lot more can be done with every androird phone, just install KDE on your desktop and phone and you'll be able to also control music, presentations and share notifications. Also, to remotely control any Android Device from your PC you can just use scrcpy, which is also open source, free and works really well. You need adb on your pc tho

Updates to what? Android updates by Google are actually downgrades. With each new release of Android Google removes functionality. The only things they add has been on Samsung phones for ages. The later your phone gets new Android the fewer apps will break because of added restrictions. Samsung is the brake in the iphonification of Android. Be grateful to Samsung for delaying Android updates as much as they possible can.
