It is not just perceived value. Other chocolates will be manufactured in India with local ingredients. These are international chocolates and they source raw materials from special farms - all that adds to the cost. In addition, these are not made in India - you have to take into consideration the foreign exchange value as well. Anything made in USA or Europe will be expensive in India. Thirdly, transportation costs also add to the price.

It is a complete deception , whereas a hardworking guy works day and night to produce such products in minimum wages on the other hand these brands put a fixed tags in which you are not even allowed to ask . Price marking should be made based on the quality not on the socio marketing strategies . Government intervention is necessary in such cases .
