Everyone has to remember, "prostitution" is illegal in Japan. Relationships in Japan can be really hard, due to overwork and an especially rigid social structure. This is a country where you can rent girlfriends / boyfriends / adult children / parents to fill/fulfill that relational void. This is the country of "compensated dating." On a side note, the high sex drive of older women is a side-effect of an aging female body. This is completely normal, but can be difficult, since at the same time, the men get ED. Japanese also have a very different perspective on sex than many other cultures - the biggest excuse I've seen is "It's not personal, it's just business," or "if my heart isn't 'stolen' I'm not cheating." By making it a transaction, it's not "cheating." I'm not against mutually beneficial relations regardless of whether money changes hands. I'm against people who break vows of exclusivity and commitment. If you can't keep the promise, don't make it.

The difficult thing is that many men are forced to work all day, literally 12 or 13 hours a day, 6 days a week, how is the guy going to get laid? And it seems that the women there want to become housewives after they get married, then the guy gets screwed for good, he doesn't have help to support the house, he's dead tired and the woman cheats on him with a brand new guy who doesn't work and has time to give "attention" to her.

Being Asian myself, there has been a stigma for any relationship with men and women hanging out. Groups of men and women usually do everything separate so there is never any confusion or thought of anything suspicious going on between anyone. This kind of culture doesn't work well in modern day culture. This is why the decline in population is dramatically increasing.

A little bit of correction to something Yuta says: it isn't "penetration" in general that is illegal in Japan, but "coitus", as in vaginal penetration. Anal and oral sex are absolutely fine, and are actually the most common forms of sex in "normal" prostitution that caters to men, be it female or male prostitutes. Its vaginal sex that is generally avoided unless the business takes advantage of the other loop hole in Japanese law, which doesn't cover sex between "specified persons", i.e. acquaintances. So some businesses have you get to know your prostitute partner first so that you are both now "acquaintances" and thus its no longer prostitution. This is how sugar mommy and sugar daddy relationships (such as compensated dating and mamakitsu/papakitsu) work. I imagine most sexual services for women do in fact allow women to go down on or engage in anal sex with their paid for companions.

It used to be that real therapists treated Hysteria by having sex with the female patients in the West. That tradition ended, then the society changed. It included penetration. In the Victorian era, hysterical paroxysm was the medical terminology for a female orgasm. It was believed to cure female hysteria, a once common medical diagnosis for irritability and a loss of appetite for food or sex. Women genital massages, leading to an orgasm, as treatment. During the late 1800s through the early 1900s, physicians administered pelvic massages involving clitoral stimulation by early electronic vibrators as treatments.

Yuta! Therapist is an insane name for a male sex worker (not insane, but you probably get what I mean - it's surprising for an English speaker). Makes me think about cultural disconnects and miscommunications due to the way we misuse or change words between cultures. I think topics like this have been done, but still, I'd be interested if you had a video on these kind of miscommunications due to borrowing words between cultures and the shift in meaning (especially in more extreme cases like this - eg, if an English speaker goes to Japan and mentions therapists, that's going to be a huge source of miscommunication!). Makes me think of a similar, but not as striking miscommunication: I met a Japanese student once who was talking about some music genre (IIRC, he was talking about electronica/electropop/EDM type music), and he used an acronym I had never heard before. It's possible that it was due to him being more into the genre than me, but it seemed he expected it would be commonly used in the US.

@@UzumakiHarutoJP 1: Yeah, you're right - the term "therapist" is probably used very intentionally like any slang term or euphemism. Thanks for pointing that out. My comment comes across a little too much like "silly Japanese people don't know what therapist means." To word it better, it would _possibly_ be a misunderstanding/mistranslation if an English speaker used it looking for a therapist, but in that case and depending on the context, a Japanese person would likely understand that a non-Japanese English speaker using the term "therapist" isn't talking about a sex worker. 2: ! European 'ESFJ' are the worst personality type, and they are responsible for inventing 'racism' and colonization! It is in their neuro-psychology!!! They are extremely 'manipulative' and often use 'looking pretty' to distract others from the witch's mind-games / mind-rape, e.g. gaslighting, playing the victim/damsel in distress, creating "flying-monkeys", and 'bribing' others (with money or BJ) to attack, or at times, kill someone for her. When caught, she will use her minions as scapegoats. European ESFJ are notorious for this especially in a racist context, e.g. Emmett Till. xSFP and ISFJ (2W1) are the most complicit, narcissistic-enablers. ISFP also tend to be 'oblivious-codependents' (look up the definition). Like ESFJ, XSFP's "feelings 'is' their reality." Most are covert-narcissists. [Secretly] Evil and narcissist-friendly gunts/flying-monkey: ISFP (ALL), ESFP (ALL), and ISFJ (2W1 enable ESFJ). ☝️ALL of them are secretly emotionally-disturbed, hence their need to create conflict as a distraction (at other people's expense, truly evil). I live here and the sex industry is very toxic. Labour laws are very bad here, and prostitution is actually illegal here, so the the workers don’t have protection if shit goes wrong. They have normalised men paying for sex, but the idea of a woman selling sex is still highly stigmatised and women have to work in secret. There’s “soapland” everywhere and porn everywhere where children are around. Believe me it’s sooo toxic and not conducive to healthy sex lives imo. Overly commercialised oh and also kids don’t get sex education at school, but are bombarded with the sex industry’s presence and there is even buses driving around blaring advertisements for recruitment in the sex industry

While it is challenging to generalize the motivations of individuals involved in such transactions, there can be several factors that contribute to why some Japanese women may choose to pay for sex. It's important to note that these reasons can vary greatly among individuals, and not all Japanese women engage in such activities. Here are a few potential factors: 1. Sexual Exploration and Fulfillment: Some Japanese women may seek paid sexual encounters as a means of exploring their sexuality, fulfilling specific fantasies or desires, or experiencing a sense of intimacy and connection. Paying for sex can provide an avenue for them to engage in consensual adult activities in a controlled and mutually agreed-upon setting. 2. Time Constraints and Convenience: Modern lifestyles and career demands may leave little time for traditional dating or committed relationships. In such cases, some Japanese women may opt for paid sexual encounters as a convenient way to fulfill their sexual needs without investing the time and energy required for a long-term relationship. 3. Emotional and Companionship Needs: Some Japanese women may pay for sex not solely for the physical aspect but also for the emotional connection and companionship that can accompany it. They may seek the intimacy, attention, and validation that can be found in the context of a paid encounter. 4. Discreet or Non-committal Experiences: Paying for sex can provide a level of anonymity and discretion that some Japanese women may find appealing. It allows them to maintain privacy and avoid the potential complications or expectations that can arise from traditional relationships. 5. Curiosity or Novelty: For some individuals, paying for sex might be driven by curiosity or a desire for new experiences. They may be interested in exploring different aspects of their sexuality or engaging with individuals who provide unique services or experiences that are not readily available through conventional means. It is essential to acknowledge that the motivations behind paying for sex are complex and can differ greatly among individuals. It is also important to note that the sex industry, including prostitution, is subject to various legal and ethical considerations and regulation in different countries. In Japan, the laws surrounding prostitution are complex and vary by region, reflecting cultural, historical, and social factors.

Its funny to find this video because despite not living in Japan, I have received Japanese women followers on twitter offering such "services". I have received such offers on twitter multiple times(dunno why me in particular) and one of their requirements were ages between 20 to 49 so I believe its quite common.

I wish we had these kinds of service in the US. Although I wouldn't personally use them because I'm happy in that department, it just seems so much more professional than secretively meeting some lady off backpage at a low end hotel, not knowing if you're going to get mugged. What Americans don't realize is that regulating sex would dramatically increase safety of both the client and the person providing the service, because let's face it, paying for sex isn't going anywhere anytime soon. Win/win.

Very interesting topic that you brought up because it's really frown upon when woman talk about their sex life in asia from my experiences and I'm glad that you covered it. Since this is a topic about sexuality, may I perhaps suggest you one video idea that you might want to do. I don't really know what japanese people think of the argument between "vanilla vs ntr" in hentai or doujinshi but from what I see in the western side, these two side never get along at all or at least listen to what the other side wanna say. The vanilla tag side calling the ntr side disgusting for enjoying horrible things and the ntr side calling the vanilla side boring for enjoying wholesome stuffs... etc. But I'm curious what's the japanese side is like, do they have this kind of argument at all? How ntr tag became so popular and vanilla tag became so rare and hard to find than before? How artists and animators feel when they have to draw/animate vanilla and ntr... etc. Thanks for reading

Women react positively to negative experiences, not because they are negative, but because Women make decisions based upon how they feel, even sensations and emotions that are unpleasant are another feeling to experience that can influence a woman to pursue such. This is why Women thrive on both Gossip, Drama and specifically Melodrama. Most Men view the genre of Melodrama as a waste of time and deeply unpleasant due to the abundant real life tragedies that exist and cannot be avoided, but many Women will enjoy Melodrama as a genre because of the feelings it provokes, especially if negative. In a way this is like a Fantasy, as they get to experience such feelings, but avoid the harsh consequences involved that the fictional character in such media would have to deal with.

Interesting.Question: I've heard that male AV actors are absurdly outnumbered by female ones. One of them has said that there are more tigers in Japan, than male AV actors. What's going on there?
@Littlefighter1911
@Littlefighter1911 Жыл бұрын
Male actors are always rare, as far as I know. There aren't that many guys willing to look like douches while doing probably the most exhaustive and frowned upon "acting". Many probably also think they have to look good, so they don't even try. Like, I'm pretty sure, that except for a few exceptions, male actors are even less appreciated than female actors. JAV also used to be more on the "softer" side, at least from what I know, with much more focus on the girl. (You get a setup scenario of meeting, stripping, foreplay etc. usually). So naturally the women is at least in the center of attention, while the man is usually reduced to his genitals. That's also why you often see their faces blurred. If you were afraid of stigma, you probably get even more as a man.

lots of things can go easily in the wrong direction . when you pay for personal gain if your expectation are met ,but if they do and you fall for a deeper conscience it would seem like in reality your being play a trick on because your paying for a companionship that might not be inclined if you run out money or short of dime . I get you. but sometimes the person ends up liking you and reaches out to you to hang out or to talk free of charge on their time. sometimes you can usually tell it's going to head in that direction. when you first come to them they are all business like. cold! after you hangout with them and/ or do the deed if you pay for all that as well, their energy changes! They get all friendly and giggly. they even dress you after and you are like huh🤨. when they reach out to you after, you say to yourself, ok thats probably like pandora sending you their sales booklet after you bought something hoping you come back😂. but nah they genuinely find you interesting as with any relationship or friendship in life. they probably want to travel all over the world and you have. therefore, they listen intensively when you speak. but if you don't see it playing out like that when you pay and expectations are met as a man or woman just walk away. but people chase what's cold to them or they say to themselves this is the perfect woman or man especially if they are shallow and what you said above happens. but all in all they who sell the services are looking for connections too and/or great friendships. even if you are a player imagine having 8 individuals on rotation but feel no type of connection.,not even as a friend! thats a lonely life and some sex workers or therapist, as the Japanese call it lol, say they get lonely or its a lonely life. But it can go the way you mentioned. notice he said when the women call everyday looking for boyfriend experience they may stay away from that.

You mentioned as possible reasons to get these services that maybe the guys are not handsome enough or not good at sex. But for me personally the thing that stops me from seeing random men is just fear. What if they become violent, what if they force me to do something I don't want, or take pictures? I haven't used these services or plan to, but I think one important reason for women is probably that they look for security. edit: oh yeah, the lack of communication. It's so bad. I've been trying to hook up with a Japanese guy recently, we even went on a date that was really fun and a bit of sexual tension was built up... But still have absolutely no idea if he likes me or not. He expresses 0 emotions. Japan's low birth rate make so much sense now.
