thank you for the video, i have been looking a 3/12volt lithium batteries for my trolling motor and i follow you on here. i have been pricing batteries for a while and the battle born brand sounds like a good battery. the only thing is they are twice as expensive as a amped outdoors, miller tech, ionic, and a monster marine. they are around the 350 range for a 50ah and 699 for a 100ah. is there a reason for this. just do not want to over spend thank you for time scot

Hello Miles, quick question, how do you connect a Y shaped connecter to a battery like that?

I was given an old trolling motor and I am wondering what type of battery to get for it. The motor is a Minn Kota 25 Watt 14 lb thrust three speed with reverse. I would like a battery that can be used all day. Can you help me? Also, seeing that it has been in my parents basement for about 25 years, is there anything I should service on it before I use it?

THANKS FOR THE VIDEO...GREAT! a couple questions... 1) I did see 12.8v. Will a "12v LiFePO4 charger" work for batteries labeled 12.8v? 2) I did NOT see "deep cycle" on the 100Ah battery...is it implied here? This information will really help a lot!! I have ordered a charger rated for LFePO4 12v 20A for 40, 50, and 100Ah ratings...will this handle the "12.8v" labeled batteries? I am guessing I can charge any battery rated in this continuous 40 to 100Ah '12.8v' battery such as a 75Ah or 80Ah battery. THANKS MUCH SIR.

The only problem with lipo batteries is the cost!

For a 12v trolling motor is it best to have one 12v 100ah battery or two 12v 50ah batteries or would that be exactly the same performance?

What charger are you using to charge your Lithium batteries

I’m using the Power Pole Charge system. There are a lot of chargers that will work with lithium though.

Great video. Question...I'm new (self taught) to electrical engineering, repair + maintenance of ebikes. I installed a 4-light system on ebike - backlight, high beam (×1) and low beam (×2). I run everything through a 12v/24v power source (bank). Recently, I decided to add rocker switch (×2) to separate high be from low beam. I noticed that the LED indicators on the rockers will sometimes work, sometimes not but the lights will always work. I've looked for shorts, can't find anything. Power source is rated for 12v/24v. I register 28.5v on multimeter when everything is turned on. Could this be the cause why the rocker lights don't work? I've switched out rockers twice....same result. Hope u can help. Great video. /bklyn 👑

I appreciate the video, but you really need to get your respiratory system checked out man sounds like you could have some serious issues breathing.

Lithium batteries are out of the price range for most of the fisherman . You can not justify the cost difference no matter how hard you try .

Not really. They will last for years and go through a lot more cycles. Weight savings are key in my case

You’re going to pay more for lead batteries over time, no getting around that. You shouldn’t discharge a lead battery more than 50%, but you can take a lithium battery down to 10% or less…it’s a no brainer.

Are most fishermen broke? I’m not and only buy lithium.
