Just picked up a 1993 model 750, after my cb650sc was stolen during a move. I'll miss the drive shaft and the maneuverability of that little bike but I'm hoping this one turns out to become a favorite. It may become a favorite at age 73 but I do have smaller bikes that I can grow into. Mine's got 40K on it was dealer maintained

Great bike congrats. I have 92 bought with 6k miles on it and now its at 25k. I live in Boston and weather gets rough here and I ride in rain etc.Cut the story short exhaust rusted to pieces with holes all over specially underneath the bike.I ordered Delkovic full exhaust for 410 and weighs 5lb vs stock 55lb.Needless to say it transformed the bike now its agile like a sport bike.I changed handlebars,shimmed the carbs and upholstered the seat with brown real leather.Overall its been dead reliable.I also do my tire changes sprockets and chain.This bike has not been in a shop.Since I bought it I also purchased pristine Vulcan 1500 classic basically Harley road king copy but whole better quality...love the vulcan too with cobra pipes. Now I am looking to buy Royal Enfield 350 desert classic.Love RE as well. Anyway enjoy the bike

Raul-- I hope you meant to say the your "first bike" was a NIghthawk 450 or so (or less) -- all of which still have way too much power and weight for a first-time rider. If you're actually claiming (therefore encouraging) that "first-time riders" are OK with nearly 500 lb., 75-80 hp bikes that will do 120 mph, then it's obvious that you'are FOS, and have likely never had a bike at all. Explain yourself.
@idefixgocho2 жыл бұрын
@@farleyfuche4540 Hello, I'm not encouraging anyone it's just my story. My first bike was a 90 cc scooter then I change it for my Honda 750 Night Hawk, previously (six years before) my uncle thought me how to ride a shift bike in a 50 cc Honda and a Yamaha 1100 Midnight Special (that was a lot of fun). I got mine for 1000$ at 40k miles. The previous owner got it as a beginner bike and it must have been too .much for him to handle. I got it as a first bike and now hitting 73,000 miles on the odometer has been amazing. It needed new fork seals, new chain, new tires, new battery so the works. It's been leaking oil since 40,000 miles from the valve cover and I'm just now getting to it. But I've never regretted getting this amazing bike. It's treated me well this year and a half and I did need to replace the wire harness but that's what I get for not cleaning out my connectors after riding in bad construction with cement in the air and not hosing the bike down at least if not take the tank off and clean out electrical connectors. But I've learned a lot about wrenching and fixing shit. But it would take another nighthawk to trade if I were to sell this one haha

Currently working on the keylock set with the local honda dealer's info/support and their locksmith. It's a treasure hunt once I open under the seat ~ maybe there's paperwork there. So far the title reconstruction with the help of the local Police Chief is positive. Support of the seller(s) who could care less about a motorcycle. And so ~ another Nighthawk love story. I just hit 84k mi. on my '91 ("Tokyo Rose"). Bought her 9+ yrs. ago with 19k on the clock. Always had her set up as a cruiser. Put a NATIONAL CYCLE Plexi-Fairing up front, 6 gal. backrest-trunk on the pillion, more luggage space behind on the rack. Will still take off like a shot, if you want to, and still gets up near (indicated) 120 mph. Still doesn't burn any oil if you keep it under 80 on a trip. And if you cruise under 75 mph (rare, I admit it), still gets slightly over 50 mpg - no doubt aided by the windshield-fairing. Back in the day I had a CB77 SuperHawk, which remains tied w/the Nighthawk as my very favorite bike of all time. Hope you and your baby had a very nice summer, rayray.
