There are "missing verses" from the modern translations because they aren't in our earliest historical manuscripts. They didn't have those manuscripts in the 1600s when the KJV was made. Most of these modern translations still have a footnote at the bottom with those verses

King James only. W God and his perfect Word.

I personally like the ESV, a good blend of word-for-word and english grammer structure. The CSB is pretty nice from time to time, too

The King James is the ONLY Bible in English that a Christian should read. The other modern translation “Bibles” are corrupt and have been severely compromised. I’ve been trying to get my Christian brothers and sisters to wake up to this issue. Sadly, most are incredibly lazy and won’t put forth any effort whatsoever to research this issue. Sad and frustrating how little respect they have for the Bible.

hey man been watching you sense you started and commenting and your takes have been mostly good but i would urge you to be very careful before labelling one version the "best" i have researched translations extensively and your missing some context on a lot of these points the 16 "removed" verses r removed because the KJV uses transcripts that r dated younger than the transcripts used in modern translations the KJV has had over 22000 changes sense it was written this is hardly the same book that was first written. personally i think the KJV is a great version but i dont often use to read and lots of people who have just started reading the bible will find the KJV extremely difficult to read being that it contains words that arent even apart of English nowadays i have heard all the counter arguments like the transcripts the modern versions use is missing parts which could possibly be true. I would just warn you i see so many people around our age who think everything in theology and the bible is black and white when its not we dont know everything and cant be sure. also lets be honest nitpicking the things like "Saul one year" is a little silly the KJV has passages that sound way more convoluted no one read that and thought he was one year old

It's interesting to me that for 1600 years the Christian had a bad bible. Including Paul's letters that he wrote. Then a guy name King James comes along 1600 years later and hast to correct Paul and the apostles.

So these accusations of insertions, extrapolations, etc are really true. There are problems with the Bible with hundreds of unknown authors, and even the time the scrips were written. Why should we waist tome on these uncertainties? Close the Bible and the Qur'an, written by eye witnesses, the very first copy still exist, no version only one Qur'an globally. Try reading, it's a shafa'a i mean healer. It heals the hearts of believers.

I think it’s quite ignorant to use one translation. If you want to understand the text read multiple translations, and study the original Greek/Hebrew manuscripts and texts. People forget the Bible wasn’t written in English
