season 7 really felt like they had no idea what to do with the characters and then scrambled.

That’s not the problem with season 7. Season 7 would be amazing if they didn’t have so many bottle episodes. It slowed the pacing down too much and if they combined seasons 7 and 8 it could be a top 5 season

agree, but also i would say its more like 3 shows. the first couple seasons feel so unique compared to everything that comes after

@@TWDNizzler imo part of what made it feel so unique is that we were learning more about the walkers and the virus with the characters, while after that point that aspect practically plateaus until the last few episodes

Truthfully S1-S3 was the end of the OG apocalypse show. Then S4-S8 was the end of the original Walking Dead series and S9-S11 was a reboot that ended the series. TOWL was a conclusion to everything, For me that is. Ps I love Judith but losing Carl was heartbreaking. Season 8 finale was the true finale to the show, no matter how poorly it was written. Besides The Maggie set up, it concluded everything up to that point. Great video.
