I've discovered that statues are, at best, a C+ version of someone's face. I know this is a bit different from my normal videos, but it was really a monumental achievement for me 😏 THANK YOU for watching!!!

Dang, I had no idea you were a statue there! I'm, like, 20 minutes away from NorthPark, it would have been wonderful to bump into you there! These statues were a nice thing to look into, and they remind me of my own sister who's doing all sorts of science-y stuff that I'm super proud of. Statues, like many art forms, can be powerful tools of recognition

"It's crazy... but can we do it?" Glad this vision was realized. And I was thinking you got stretched, just as you said "Quite tall, aren't I?" A very cool installation, hope it inspires people to "pursue their passion".

The exhibit is in the right place! Eventually, Texas will be the next California, which is why there's so much reactionary activity right now. I'm not Texan, but it's also not all their fault that Greg Abbott is America's fascist cripple.

Congratulations Vanessa! I think a whole video about imposter syndrome might be worth thinking about mainly because I think you could come to it from a unique angle. Most videos are about how to “beat” imposter syndrome instead of trying to understand the root causes and how it can even be healthy.

That's so cool to be recognized in such a touching way. From a man's perspective alot of times women have doubts about what they can do or deserve. And if something like this or the stories connected it to can help why not? Maybe you didn't cure cancer or something crazy but it would still be pretty cool to be honored by that person as a credit to why they started. I enjoy the variety and somewhat obscure nature your channel brings. It would be great to see u with your own show on the telie tho. Either way awesome they picked u, enjoy and grats!

S. It would be even better if public officials would now make a request to take those statues and place them into their local public spaces so that they are not just concentrated on a few m2 where they are allowed :) . Or recreate them or something, you know, spread the word, dont enclose it into a single forum and call it a day :D

I love the concept, but have to admit that using such a bright color actually makes it a LOT harder to see the details in the video. I wonder if it has the same effect in person. Usually neon details don't lend well to 3D form. I'd love to see more statues of REAL women done in bronze, copper, to help further "even out" what's already out there as well.

No one should EVER strive to become a statue, what an egotrip this video and entire premise was. To be in a science field is not to be honoured in a statue format it's not only degrading to the other statues out there but only perpetuates the stereotype that: only the more valued in society DESERVES and should STRIVE for a statue. More pro-capitalist than pro-science.
