I think it was best in 2019 and then putting the helicopter in was a bad idea because it adds a lot of randomness to the match, it almost feels insulting that Warzone has that whole big map for free and the players get three little tiny cutouts from it on gw … there’s literally so many new maps that could be made from more portions of the wz map I think that the company has to spend more money on servers for ground war or something that pushed their decision to stop supporting the mode

it feels like it's a gamble it's either fun or rly annoying imo sometimes i'm being accused of cheating other times I can't spawn without being sniped 2 seconds after

@@dartlinfps I've noticed that all most winning teams have to do is just take the objectives and then have like 6 or so guys just camp out in different areas around that objective, waiting to snipe or spray from power positions. Even if you manage to take out a couple of defenders, it's those unseen guy hiding high up in some building who will get you without even seeing their optic flash.

having an off angle on an objective will keep majority of players off there, especially if nobody is running smokes etc and trying to creatively counter, you have to use vehicles to push otherwise because the map designs are somewhat death funnels

The whole game design engine and everything was super clean I think it is because they worked with Nvidia directly while building the game engine, it just got bloated over the next 3 years with all the assets they added from vanguard and Cold war

yup, the EMP is really annoying too making it impossible to distinguish teammates from enemies and somebody seems to drop it EVERY SINGLE LOBBY

Looping and stacking streaks were in mw2 og I believe but it was removed for a reason

they ar egetting praise because they listen the most out of the other studios. i havnt played a cod since mw19. i play cod/warzone mobile. both are fantastic and very different. cod mobile is like black ops and warzone is like modern warfare. and it does have a free mp. only 5 maps right now though.

I'm sure somebody will be offended by the joke but those mfs do have hi ping, they shouldn't be vpn'ing to my area LOL...if anything they may be kids who are bypassing their limited online weekly gaming time XD

cold war was a gem definitely, the smaller modes were plagued by sbmm probably harder than 2019 but treyarch games are always the sweatiest too

EMP is so crazy lol I always use it as an opportunity to take thumbnail screenshots since it takes the HUD away when the enemy team drops them on me 🤣

I feel like those kinda modes are the only way to escape the manipulative matchmaking but also have their own plague of issues

The ground war maps are atrocious in mw3 and 2 compared to 2019... I don't know how they dropped the ball so hard when all they had to do was copy and paste some more maps from the warzone maps, they literally could be taking so many players from battlefield right now

mw2 movement is kinda janky but has the most gw maps I believe and it has variety, mw2019 is hands down the best imo but i have heard it's kinda cheater infested (not sure the skill level of the players claiming such but i'd be inclined to believe them on an older game), MW3 is an insult to ground war they completely neglected us I honestly spent the 70$ in hopes of ground war maps but it wound up being a weapon level simulator for warzone which I can't play anymore due to the inconsistency in connection and servers (the hitreg is arguably the worst in the fps genre on warzone) I'd go with mw2 if you play more ranged with your gunfights and engagements and 2019 if you want faster movement mechanics but they are in some opinions "cheesy" I enjoyed 2019 because it was made alongside with NVidia and they helped build the engine from the ground up, it just runs really well especially if you're on keyboard and mouse

they have VERY limited servers for the mode it seems

its wild how that player count change COMPLETELY throws off the pacing and the feel of the mode...I feel like they did similar with the 2v2 gunfight to some extent it felt like they stopped releasing maps for that I used to play it with a friend of mine any time we got on as a "warm up"

the amount of developer time/money and the art teams that could be doing more creative stuff are being WASTED on microtransactions when the core elements of games are SUFFERING because they are being designed as PLATFORMS for selling microtransactions moreso than actual games...add engagement optimized matchmaking etc on top and it is essentially a carnival game lol, also NONE of the items purchased in game are owned by players the moment they shut the servers off those items are just a memory lol

It’s sad they’ve become a wpn level simulator for warzone lol…mw3 was just them fixing and undoing all they messed up with mw2 and the fans rejoiced lol, I’ll prob get bo6 but I won’t expect much from the 6v6 if I want to test my skill and improve at aiming etc I’ll hop on XDefiant, you can really see yourself get better on there because your experience isn’t being manipulated which is super refreshing, as somebody who works in software and audio engineering, it feels like an insult to intelligence playing many games these days

thats a great point I never thought about why did they put it in the beta lol, they essentially catfished us because if you judged on 2019 and mw2 you would assume they'd keep adding maps...it seems like they shafted the zombies players as well this year

@@dartlinfps I think everyone assumed that after the last 2 modern warfare games pretty much releasing at least 1 GW map per season from a POI on the current Warzone map. Sledgehammer shafted Arms Race in Vanguard too, which I thought was a great mode as did many, yet it only ever had 1 map. And we won't see another Ground War until 2026 at the earliest

I won't be surprised if we only see like 3 in the next infinity ward game, I honestly would be somewhat surprised if they don't cut the mode completely because it costs them more money and server allocation to host these larger lobbies of 64 players when they make more money off warzone (frequent players buy stuff in store including me lol I've bought a few things over the years probably like 100$ sadly to say (I guess it's not any worse than buying beer or something honestly it's less harmful lol)

They host all the servers worldwide on the same small number of dedicated servers I think, this would explain why every lobby is so glitchy and the variety of ping is from 20-300, it seems like they just didn't want to support the mode any more because it costs more money to run or something and probably requires the same level of servers that a warzone lobby does due to streaks, equipment, vehicles, etc...it seems like it also maybe wasn't as popular but look how they neglected even zombies which is a pretty big thing in cod, multiplayer has been taking the back seat to warzone for a while now it seems honestly

honestly I saw it on a reddit post before I said it so it's not mine lol but it's wild as much money as activision makes they can't get servers for asian players or central america...I am constantly playing against ppl in venezuela and either I have an insane advantage over them or vice versa depending on the traceroute of the packets getting sent to the server the match is hosted on

this is why I am rooting for xdefiant AND giving them criticism as well because we deserve better in the fps genre...its sad seeing ppl act like fanboys over trailers that are just cinematic, people are doing it right now with diablo 4 also and preordering with VERY LITTLE information...I feel like I'm in the movie idiocracy or the truman show or something and living an inside joke that I am not in on

the hitreg is by far the most GLARING issue with xdefiant for sure, that will drive players away if it's not fixed asap

I agree, the military base feels like a funnel for sniping campers inside spawn protection

most of it was off the top of my head but I tried to word it as best as I can, I can't talk as well when I have the facecam on vs reading off my bullet points and treatment (sometimes it is a script but usually it's just something to try to stay on track with talking points)
