It's true that the opposition have less space to defend because of this but on the positive side, it's easier to close down the ball as the same players in close proximity can close down. We prevent the opposition to progress the ball from the center during counter attacks. With Mainoo, Dalot and Licha being exceptional in tight spaces, it would be great to progress the ball out. Not only at Wolves but we did this well against Chelsea too, and you saw how good Antony was in that game. This just shows why ETH must stay for over 1-2 seasons more. Regardless of whether you think he is good enough or not, the players aren't good enough (atleast half of them). You could have incredible building designs and structure, but if your raw materials aren't good, the building won't stand. i like the idea of minimum width but the problem with ten hag is that he uses it only in the final third we should use it in build up as well, de zerbis brighton do it really well , their players are mostly in their half in build up to allow them to move the ball but if the opposition squeezes us that high that will allow our fast forwards to easily run behind but now most teams just do a mid block and pretty much win every ball
