I was mesmerized by the Tom Brady interview, I think Tom will be great in the booth. I'm prepared to give him some time because this is something new for him. I also know that Tom has a lot of haters that will be embellishing any mistake he makes.

I love seeing the haters doubt Brady again after two decades of the greatest results the NFL has ever seen. I can’t wait to see the haters eat their words as usual! The idea that Brady won’t bring more knowledge to the booth than Olsen is so ridiculously stupid that it’s amusing. LFG!

Love you Colin, you know who butter's your bread, consummate company man. You go.

I went to college with Tom. He was by a wide margin the most approachable player on the team by random students. He would stop and seriously reply to questions from anyone - anyone - and be friendly and sincere. Like Colin says, eye contact, smile, totally friendly and likeable. (Brian Griese......EXACT opposite).

The one thing that they didn't actually mentioned is Tom Brady's football intellect. You know when you're listening to Toni Romo and it's like every couple of series he's predicting the play and the outcome and he's almost always right, I think Tom is going to be like that 2.0 he's going to be able to breakdown plays and show you how and why they work or don't work. He's probably going to be one of the best NFL educators/broadcasters that anyone has ever seen!

Tom Brady will succeed if he knows when to talk and make it short so announcer can call the game.

Yes. Both Tom and Bill have so much to say and they both are going to be calling games this season and it will be whether they can speak in short sentences.

When the network tells you to call Tom a cheater ya do it, when he is on the same payroll ya worship the ground he walks on.

Tom really does come across as relatable and so genuine even about his struggles. It almost feels like he is my younger brother and I am invested in seeing him succeed even at this and that is a strange feeling. He already has succeeded so wildly that I should not even care if he flops at this. But I do actually care.

FOX is really making Brady the face of the network now. Let’s be real, he’d be doing ESPN Monday night football if ESPN didn’t get Joe and Troy.

Time flies. It seems like yesterday when Drew Bledsoe got blasted by Mo Lewis and back up QB Tom Brady enters the game.

I think about what Colin said about how Brady will need to say about 200 8-second sentences. If I were Tom, I would take a game that has already been played and turn down the volume and call it and write down his 200 sentences and then look for redundancy and figure out how to give interesting concepts in short sentences.

Brady with a backwards hat on an interview in the thumbnail. I’m sure Colin will criticize Brady just like he does every other QB who does that right?

I am a big Brady fan, but I think he needs some more broadcasting training. He should shorten his answers and add some humor.
@wishingb5859
@wishingb5859 5 күн бұрын
Yes. Both of those things are true. Though, humor only if he can do it authentically. He doesn't really need to be funny. But if he can laugh and smile and enjoy himself it will help.

Colin I love Brady but your sucking up is rather lap dog disingenuous. Clearly Fox has demanded that you coronate him before he ever takes the stage. Whether you're aware of it or not your integrity slip is showing. Tom may improve but for now, sub mediocre at best...I'll review this in November and apologize if necessary.

Integrity slip?? He'd have to actually have to have integrity to begin with for it to slip. He's a schill.

Tom has a very long way to go before he becomes Olsen. His polish is not great, he stumbles from time to time, noticeably, which breaks up the flow of a broadcast. I think his first season is going to be shaky, but we will see come that Cowboys game.

Oh please Olsen rating had gone down...he got thst Emmy because the voters either hate brady or jealous and wanted to show him up...Olsen was a placeholder for brady and knew that...Brady passion for football shines he is great to look at and has a great voice
