The uncharted series were my first non-kid friendly games. And I LOVED IT And I hope I’m not the only one, but I cried at the end of uncharted 4. I was so sad the series was over

I still think this is my favourite game of all time. The music, the characters and overall story was just perfect.

I remember when I played any of the Uncharted video games, my entire family got really invested into it whilst I was playing it that they were disappointed when I played a chapter without them around. At one stage my sister and dad begged me to play a couple of chapters again because I was an arsehole who played without them.

Uncharted 2 came out at the perfect time when I was 12 years old, and after renting it from blockbuster, I fell in love with the series. It blew away all expectations I had for a single player adventure game. To this day, it is one of my favorite games of all time.

While Uncharted 4 is my favourite Uncharted game there's no doubt that pacing and action wise Uncharted 2 wise is top. Playing it for the first time was like watching The Dark Knight for the first time, it was like nothing else and completely gripped me. The whole train section set piece is incredible, the opening is incredible, the cast and characters they play are fantastic and it really feels like being in a big budget amazing action film.

When I first got my PS4 and picked up the Uncharted collection I was blown away by this phenomenal game. Loved it and it’s one of my favorites of all time

I realize I‘m old everytime some adult talks about a game I love and declares that he first played the game when he was a kid. By the time UC2 came out I was close to my thirties and about to get married! I still love this game for the same reasons as the author of this video. To me it‘s the best game I‘ve played at least in this century.. and I‘ve been playing video games since the mid 80s. There aren‘t many games that have stuck with me as much as the Uncharted series. An absolute masterpiece.

Drake's Fortune is a generic action shooter with the only standout being its somewhat likeable characters. By all means, it didn't deserve a sequel. I'm so fucking glad it got one.

I was 16 when this came out 😭😭😭😭 and this game aged so well. It still feels and plays like it did when I first experienced it 10 years ago. Omg I’m so old now!

This video warms my nostalgic heart. I actually feel a tinge of sadness when I think back to the Uncharted games, in terms of the fact I'll never get to experience that feeling of escapism as a kid ever again. I miss the days when life was simpler, and you could just be Nathan Drake for an entire weekend.

Still my favorite game ever. Perfect story, super fun co-op, and such a great multiplayer. You don't see games ever put that much content these days.

Whenever someone asks my favourite movie, I've always had trouble coming up with a defintive answer. But I've never thought twice when someone has asked my favourite game: Uncharted 2: Among Fucking Theives. Always.

This game is definitely my favorite game of all time. It’s literally what makes me love PlayStation, for them to put out great exclusives like the god of war series, little big planet series and this series. This game has been my favorite since I played it a decade ago. I miss the multiplayer. Uncharted 3 had the better multiplayer in my opinion but 2’s was still fun. The campaign was fantastic, score was beautiful and heartbreaking. Characters are great. Agree with pretty much all you said. Nice video.

Even if nobody reads this, I want to share what the Uncharted series, and in particular Among Thieves, means to me. Back on Black Friday 2012, I bought a PS3 bundle that came with the Uncharted Dual Pack (1+2) and the InFAMOUS Collection (To this day I still can't believe what a good deal that was.) for $200. I was 14 at the time so $200 was quite a bit of money. Prior to that the only console I had ever owned was the Wii, which many people saw as not a serious system; that it was a console for kids. While I never subscribed to that line of thought, it was still a popular opinion so you could say that this was my first foray into "hardcore" gaming. The inclusion of InFAMOUS was nice, but what I was really after was Uncharted. I had heard so much about how groundbreaking these games were, how they chipped away at the boundaries of film and games and ushered in a new era of storytelling, narrative, and gameplay. I rushed home and immediately popped in Drake's Fortune, which I spent the next few days playing through. After I completed it, I remember I couldn't help but feel... underwhelmed. I thought it was a good game overall, but I nonetheless felt that it did not reach the levels that so many articles and video reviews proclaimed it to be at. By the end of the game, the jungle setting had grown bland and I was getting irritated by the seemingly one-after-another, continuous gunfights. I headed in to Uncharted 2 with my expectations significantly lowered. Little did I know that this game would be life-changing for me. Uncharted 2 absolutely blew me away. It was a kick-ass, globe-trotting, mountain-climbing, puzzle-solving, train-hopping, gun-slinging masterpiece and remains to this day my favorite game ever made. The settings were varied and exotic. The characters were endearing and personable. The gameplay was tight and perfectly paced, and it was capped off by an amazing soundtrack which added so much to the atmosphere and ambiance of the game. (I firmly believe that a good soundtrack is a critical piece of any game and can elevate a good game to an amazing experience.) This. This was the title that sparked my love for gaming. If I ever bother to go back and play a game for a second time, it means that I hold it in very high regard. With that in mind, it may give you an idea of how much I love this game and series when I say that I have played through Uncharted 2 nearly a dozen times, and have played all of the other games in the series numerous times as well. The series and this game specifically have also fostered my love of travel and adventure, even inspiring me to go to Nepal for a month in the summer of 2016. This was the game that instilled within me an adventurer's heart, and my experience in Nepal inspired me to go study in Bhutan, where I ended up spending nearly two years. I met some of my closest friends there, and the experiences I had on my travels are instrumental to shaping me into who I am today. My choice of career is based upon the desire to get out and explore the world. Some of my most closely held values such as the importance of your friendships and connections to other people and the importance of an open mind and a curiosity for the vast world out there developed as a result of my experiences. Pretty much everything in my life can be traced back to the effect that this game had on me. I know it may seem kind of silly to say that a video game changed my life, but Uncharted 2 really did. To me, just calling this a video game that I really like is grossly inadequate when trying to convey the impact this title had on my life. The butterfly effects of me playing this game for the first time have affected my life in a way that I would have thought impossible for any one entertainment title, whether it be video game, book, or movie. Uncharted 2 is so much more than just a video game to me, it is the foundation upon which my existence as I know it today was built upon. I will adore this game until the day I die.

I remember getting the demo and being absolutely stunned by the graphics, gameplay and story. The opening was so good that I needed to know which uncharted it was (at that time only the first two were out). But yea if you read this hope you're having a great day.

Just finished the remastered version of this after completing original 10 years ago. Incredible experience. The long real time trek from the battered streets of nepal to the cold mountains via the epic train sequence is just sublime. Oh and a surprisingly sick instrumental track during the end credits!

I’ll never forget waking up naturally at 8:00 and waiting on the loading screen of uncharted 2 because I promised my brother and dad I’d play with them. I’ll also never forget leaving the Target by my house on 11/11/11 the morning Uncharted 3 came out. Man... what a franchise.

Uncharted 2 is the best paced action game, hands down. At the same level are Resident Evil 4 and The Last of Us

I've played the Uncharted games since Drakes Fortune came out and something I feel like this franchise does better than absolutely any other, is put you in highly stressful situations that you end up looking forward to and enjoying. Making these games very fun to get through. Even in the toughest parts of these games, i feel in no way any sense of dread. Who knew you could find joy in extreme stress? I sure know I didn't.

Uncharted 2 changed gaming for me forever.

Uncharted 2 will always be my favorite of the Uncharted games and it was my first Uncharted game.

The Uncharted series is just so great. As someone who loves the Indiana Jones movies and who grew up with playing the classic Tomb Raider games and the Crystal Dynamic ones, Uncharted was just the perfect fit. I think it's also interesting how the Tomb Raider 2013 reboot tried *a lot* to be like Uncharted, but it just felt like a cheap copy in comparison. But in general I'm pretty hard on the Tomb Raider Reboot, because it just disappointed me too much.

If you wonder how it is that the ingame writting is so good for the characters, it's because alot of those conversations were improvised by the actors. During the gameplay parts. I watched an interview of Nolan North talking about the games creativity. I don't remember the name of the video though

Drake's Fortune (9/10) - A enjoyable but difficult adventure game with a brilliant story similar to a original action and adventure type film. Among Thieves (10/10) - An worthy sequel ten times better than the original, epic story, epic gameplay & epic cutscenes. One of Naughty Dog's best. Drake's Deception (8/10) - Despite being a anticipated sequel and being a great game I think it just didn't have the same hype as the first two. Golden Abyss (7/10) - Even though it has the same gameplay it just wasn't enjoyable due to it being a portable game. A Thief's End (10/10) - A worthy return and epic conclusion to a beloved series. It's gameplay & story is just astonishing & might leave you in tears once you reach the end. The Lost Legacy (8/10) - Despite having the same gameplay as the fourth one it's a enjoyable spin-off

I just got a PS3 slim in 2013 as a 13 year old. Went to CEX knowing next to nothing about recent games, still had a PS1 at the time, and ended up choosing Uncharted 2 and Batman Arkham Asylum. Best decisions of my teenhood.

Uncharted 4 is my favourite and I prefer the gameplay of the 3rd one to the second but uncharted 2 is still brilliant. So many cool moments and those bloody yetis are the stuff of nightmares.

With the Nathan Drake collection, I played Drake's Fortune and enjoyed it but found the game to be a little outdated and some of the shootouts got repetitive. Playing among thieves had me blown away with it's pacing, story, and action sequences. I beat the game in 2 days and it was great.

I hope we get uncharted 5 still.

I played Uncharted 4 for the first time last month and loved it so much that I bought the first three remastered, having never played them either. All are great but 2 is by far the best. The story is simply better than the others. Uncharted 4 is second best. Playing Uncharted was like watching the recent-ish Tin Tin film in regards to action. I wonder how much the film deliberately drew upon the games

At around 22:30 i don't get that when he played Desmond Miles. Like I heard the voice, but I couldn't associate it with Nathan at all. Which I really liked.

This is actually pretty accurate. I always liked uncharted 2 and for sure felt that it was the top game in the series, but you made a very valid point, it's in fact the best action game ever made. It's the "Terminator 2" of games.

Really wondered if you’d do a video on the mighty boosh? It really interests me: the controversy over whether or not it was actually funny, it’s purposefully shocking low quality in earlier seasons. Personally I feel that at the show got more popular/ got more funding it sort of lost its ‘edge’? I thought once they moved out of the zoo setting it was less funny and significantly less ‘random’.
