Can't know what you never had! And that makes me sad.

Started playing in Summer 2010. When I think about the good times I had with my friends, messing around on community servers and getting hyped about new updates, it makes my heart hurt. I honestly don't care about content at this point, just fixes to bugs and bots.

I actually know how to code but not that professional but at least it'll be enough to give a decent update but yeah I'm not that old enough to geta job

I know how to code, and even worked in valve once, but i leaved the company and now i work on my dream company - Blizzard. So, fuck you tf2 and valve.

Why would it not look good on a resume, they'd be working on a game thats in the top 10 in the Steam chart for number of players. Most other games made by Microsoft and Sony will still kill for those numbers in some of their games after so many years. It's all about how you properly describe your position.

@@Labyrinth6000 First off, when you're writing a resume, you don't have to appeal to like-minded people, you have to appeal to an HR department who, for example, might not even know or care that TF2 still has a large active playerbase. All they'll see is an old game from the late 2000s. Secondly, to those same uninformed and apathetic HR departments, "maintenance" is a codeword for "took an easy job", regardless of whether it's actually easy or not. Finally, you also have to consider the prospective employee's perspective. _They_ might not see it as something good on their resume, regardless of whether it actually is or not, for the same reasons that an HR department wouldn't. You can try and dress it up by pointing out TF2's significance, but then it comes off as added fluff which could be taken as either a lack of focus or a sign of desperation.

I worked with an audio engineer to get my mic working correctly, and I'm using better software for recording now. Should just be higher quality in general.

disagree, incompetent people might make things even worse and ruin everything do to their, well, incompetence, and competent people doing nothing is better even if that's still not good since at least they aren't gonna spoil anything, plus them being competent gives some tiny hope that they might do something one day and that "something" may be good

It's actually not left view models, this is a right-handed view model with flipped video, the purpose of which is to avoid demonetization if a bad word happens to be in the chat or anything like that so the demonetization bot (and everyone else) can't read it.

Based on the last 7+ years out of Valve it's easy to assume everything he just said is correct and it would be basically impossible to say or argue otherwise. Valve stays very quiet and keeps to themselves, behind closed doors, and the way their company works both internally and externally is an enigma so there's no way to truly prove what boundaries they have when it comes to those kinds of things. It's also the only logical and reasonable explanation to why their just ignoring so damn many people, lots of money, and limitless potential.

There is a lot of software components to the brain chip thing, and basically what I'm saying is all the new hires are hardware devs, meanwhile all the old ones are working on software for hardware projects.

What else is there to talk about when this game hasn't been updated in 7 years?

the thing about that is that Dota 2 according to Valve has worse spaghetti code yet receives way more updates so if that is true, the lack of TF2 updates being its own spaghetti code would be redundant

Still has team reviews though, so if your coworkers don't like what you're working on you can get fired for that.
