Күн бұрынWe are looking back at the 8 years we have been living on our Norwegian homestead on a remote island. There have suddenly been many ups and downs the past years and so today we are going to summery the most important steps we took on our way to the farm of our dreams.

We have bought a 100-year-old farm that have not been farmed the last 50 years. Our goal is to bring this farm back to life to make a safe self-sufficient paradise for our children to grow up. We are going to raise animals like chickens, cheeps, pigs, dairy cows and much more. Norwegian Farm Life is a channel for the whole family with loads of farm idyl. Our farm is located on the western side of Norway.

The quality of your videos is improving! I'm curious why do you cut the hay? If possible, letting the animals graze in the field would free up time for you to do other things, and in turn they would fertilize the soil to make it even more productive.

Thaks. The grass don’t grow during winter so we need to cut it during the summer and dry it so it don’t rot. That way we have grass for them during the winter. 🤠
