Thanks so much for keeping up the fight on this critical issue. It was at first a small erosion that eventually became the Grand Canyon. We need to protect our rights before they are totally eroded away. You are doing a great job with this issue. Thank you, again! 🚀🦩

Hi Park Junkie. I hope the meeting went well and was productive. If anyone can make these people in charge of this land grab understand the negative impact to the American people I think it's you, because I think your an honest man and they will pick up on that to. The problem is sway and your right corporations cash cows have a lot of power over politicians. I watch native peoples fight for their land and rights every day. They have moved some mountains back into their possession so I know it can be done. So keep banging on the door and I will to. Good seeing as always Park Junkie and thanks again for what your doing.

Thanks for all your efforts in dealing with these issues, Todd; and thank you for representing us in Washington. You're right that we as a group can do a lot together. I feel that this is just the tip of the iceberg if we don't put a stop to corporate America taking our rights away from us. Count me in contacting our representatives.

If you're not inspired halfway through this content you may need to check for a pulse. Todd, you had me feeling like I could run through a brick wall. Some of our brethren have it backward, this is what patriotism looks like. Instead many are rolling over and complying. Thanks so much for your efforts.

I am outraged!!! The national parks are the people's parks, not Booz Allen's.

In your talking to Representatives , do they ever say why some of the issues you are talking about we're put in place? Is it a lack of tax dollars to pay for operations to be done by park workers?

To be honest, none of my Senators' staff even seem to have knowledge of public land issues, but they are not on those committees, so it's difficult to say. It appears to me that this FLREA law was put in place twenty years ago, then crafty corporate attorneys found ways to worm their way into the mix. The Senators & Reps pass the laws, and yes, there may be some corruption in that game, but on this issue, it seems the res system was implemented, and taken advantage of later. It lasted more than a decade before Booz Allen obtained control over it, so it's hard to think it was set up initially as a scam. But what do I know? There is no reason the parks, with 311 million guests last year, shouldn't be able to fund their own operations. In fact, the reservation system, as it is currently arranged, actually costs the park service money. I covered that in an episode of National Park News about three months ago in Congaree National Park.

Hey Todd--like you, I've had many adventures and great memories of time spent in our public lands. It would be a shame if our children's children's children (Moody Blues reference 🙂) couldn't have the same opportunity. Thanks again for your efforts on this issue. We're sending the message to our representatives, fingers crossed that they GET the message for a change. By the way, having seen California Condors fairly up close at the Pinnacles, I'm wondering if you shot that clip of the condor coming in for a landing on the rock?

Hey Yawn! Yes, as a matter of fact I did shoot that footage of the Condor. A morning stroll on the High Peaks Trail & these creatures were all over the place.
