The dual character of B4S (and B3S) is really tempting. With M4 (and M3) you cannot relax much on longer runs, due to tire roar and other things. With Alpina you can and you can still be completely hooligan just like with M4 (as demonstrated here). I also like the understated looks - while it is not completely "sleeper" it blends in traffic better and lets you do your driving in peace (when you want it that way). I'm seriously considering importing B3S Bi-turbo from Germany as we don't have dealers selling these in Finland...

This is the story of my life for the last few months, sold my s204 c63 in september and doubting between a couple cars which the m3 and alpina are part of. I realy realy have no idea what to do. The boy in me say buy the m3 and tune the hell out of it, the man in me saz buy the more classy and rare alpina. By 2023 I am probably still doubting.

Did this B4 S have the optional limited slip differential (LSD)? And is it necessary?

I just bought the M4 CP.... I considered the B4s but due to the lack of competing dealerships for Alpina-(only Sytner) in the UK you have no way to competitively drive prices down. This ultimately makes the CP a better buy from a monetary perspective as you can get some great deals great deals using Carwow especially!

Alpina do an awesome job. Much less boyracer muscle styled than the m cars without compromised performance. Shame the luxury bmw line isn’t quite there as Ms are a little to muscle for my liking.

Well done you made the skids look like art with the B4S what an absolute machine

Like the interior but would be nice if the steering wheel incorporated some of that colour too.. obviously not on the outer rim but maybe the centre hub.

What are your thoughts on this Alpina B4S?.. Apart from the skids 😈

great review. the stills on this video look amazing but seems as though the frame rate or shutter speed has been messed up a little bit as looked laggy alot of the time. Regardless, great video. Considering replacing my 335i with one of these!
