Man LG pulling out is sad af. I still have fond memories of the LG G4 and G6 - but to be fair they are in many ways a perfect case study on how awful marketing ruins great products.

LG should have had a better product mix. There were very few good LG phones in the mid-tier or lower segment. Of course, they kept trying something different with their flagships. Those were really interesting.

If you watch onlyne you can find realme, (on amazon too) for low to mid range, in mid range we have many like google pixel a variant, oneplus, some good realme and a few snapdragon samsung, while in mid to top we get oneplus and the snapdragon smasung. Xiami is still far behind the top despite costing even more, and in lower ranges there are many better option or as good but for cheaper, without advertising built in too

Xiaomi really needs to cater to consumers privacy needs. People who buy on a budget don't really have a choice. But spending more money and still getting bloatware and ads with significant tracking in all its default apps is just horrible.

Yes, it's a huge issue with their upper midrangers, where getting an ad or not is literally a software update away With their actual flagships, they're good at this but very few people outside of China buy and use them so the prevailing perception is that all of their phones have ads and intrusive apps

Xiaomi is about to One Plus us in the premium category, it's very hard to ask a premium price and hold a 5% revenue at the same time
@trs5127
@trs5127 3 жыл бұрын
I don't think they can do that. The thing with Oneplus is that it offered itself up as a flagship killer up until two years ago. So as the price of flagships creeps up, OnePlus cameras increase the pricing up too whole still undercutting competition. The thing with Xiaomi is that they can't do that because the price of budget phones isn't influenced by the price of flagships. That category will always be 100-300 dollars no matter what price the flagships are, at least for the next decade or so. Thus they can't just bump the price up for all of their lineup. I just see them expanding their lineup, like that have been doing basically every year since last 3-4 years
@ridakesserwan8712
@ridakesserwan8712 3 жыл бұрын
@@trs5127 i clearly mentioned "in the premium category" Xiaomi can't hike up prices at this point, they built such a massive consumer base based entirely on budget, value for money phones and it redeemed them wildly successful, if they're gonna ditch that it would backlash terribly, anyways I'm 100% sure they won't do that in the low-end stuff Flagship level though, they can go all out on everything and ask a premium cz that's what the competition is doing, thy clearly wanna be the next huawei in that range, and I'm 70% sure thy can pull it off

Who uses Clubhouse? And why? It has no Android app, no Windows program, no website, you can't really connect professional gear to it... I'm not gonna go out, but an iDevice, a handful of dongles and hope that my audio interface is supported by iOS to offer quality content. So I'm really glad the other services are trying to offer a cross-platform alternative. By bets are on Spotify since they've been dealing with audio for a long time, but then again, Discord are great when it comes to voice chat, so we'll see.

People probably like Clubhouse because it's "exclusive" and gives them a feeling of being in a special club others can't just get in. It hypes people up. Namely the invite-only system and being an Apple exclusive. Low key flex that by letting people know you use Clubhouse, you're telling them "I'm an Apple user" like those who use memoji as a profile pic. A status symbol. The name is also easy to pronounce and remember. And it's casual: no need to have pro equipment to be popular. People like to complain when a KZfaq video have less than perfect video and audio.

I want to say something about Xiaomi. Xiaomi actually changed its logo, and this became the headline in China for a relatively long period of time. And the logo is so poorly designed and so expensive that Xiaomi has made a really interesting public image, which is people believe that Xiaomi has been "cheated" by the Japanese logo designer, so they are kind people, and therefore people still believe that Xiaomi offers the best bank for the buck. Plus, since Xiaomi have so much money to spend on their logo, Xiaomi also showed to the public that they are a high-end brand now.

Do it for they enjoyment of doing it, not because you want to earn money. 90%+ of channels on KZfaq don't earn enough money to make a basic living, and by doing it for the money you're basically selling your soul to KZfaq and have to make content based on trends to appeal to the Algorithm because you wouldn't be able to have food and pay your rent otherwise. Also don't self promote or spam the comments of other people's video begging people to check out your channel. Don't clickbait. Be honest. And don't be loud and annoying. People hate these things and will definitely leave a dislike in droves and thus put your videos in a coffin to never be recommended to anyone whatsoever.

@@lance_gk Me too. I specifically avoid Chinese brands like Oppo, Vivo, and Huawei because they go so overboard on marketing and celebrity endorsements. It's ok to do marketing on your phone, but it's not ok to have the celebrity as one of the main selling points off of phone. They also like to pack a handful of cheap stuffs from Alibaba, like a selfie stick operated via the headphone jack, in a "gift box" and bundle it for free with the phone to try to convince customers that this is a great deal.

These companies will not take over anything unless the major carriers,TMobile and Verizon,place them in their line ups.See,people like me who are road warriors with our phones,need carriers so we have insurance/replacements,reliable data plans,and services we know which will be in existence for another 5-20 years.Sure i can get a Xiaomi,yet will Tmobile support it,when something is not working right or needs to be troubleshooted???nope..I even wanted to try out another Blackberry,yet if something goes left,I am stuck.Oh yeah,and I see at least one person noted the possible privacy issues,and protections...

Their broke business gave birth to the most bang for the buck devices you can ever purchase I mean just buy one of their severely down priced flashings with already amazing features, and if you care about software bloat or updates just slap lineage OS, perfect formula imo

@@cybercery5271 you don't need root to install lineageOS, you only need to unlock bootloader provided by LG And then flash the rom it's easy as pie If you want to root just flash magisk it literally takes a couple of buttons, not that you need rooting anyways

I'm one of those waiting for replacing my Huawei P30 pro. I would go for another Huawei without even thinking, but the lack of GMS is a huge drawback. Samsung is out of the equation with those super fake colorful and pink-faced photos, so maybe Xiaomi is a real option this year. 🙌🏻

I'm not gonna lie, these tech corporations cloning Clubhouse kinda breaks my heart, no "small" company can come up with something new and cool in this area without being basically copied out of existence by one of these devils. These corporations should be broken up ASAP.

Personally, I think anything coming out of China is going to have a serious image problem. This is due in large part to the CCP and not the people of China themselves however, that being said, there will always be questions from foreign markets regarding data security and access to private information. The CCP can access any Chinese company's databases, user accounts, etc. to do with however they see fit. Not something I get the warm and fuzzies over.

Because they have the best phones for their price and actually care about creating brand loyalty enough to make an amazing online and offline community? These were the first guys I remember that willingly unlocked their bootloader and sold rooting as a legit feature of a phone. I still have my redmi k20 and I don't plan on letting it go for the time being. I despise phones with holes drilled in their screen so I will wait for Xiaomi to perfect.their under display camera tech.
