I feel like we need a video on shoulders. I'm having a hard time understanding what sloped, versus pointed looks like. Can we do some comparisons of different shoulder shapes.

The problem with the Kibbe test is that it’s missing a vital item. Imagine being in the middle of an ocean on a moonless cloudy night, with a map that leads to hidden treasure. You will not be able to follow the map’s directions if you can’t tell where north or south is. You need a benchmark, like the moon and stars in this scenario. Kibbe test is like a map that leads to a specific body type. Visual representations of benchmarks are missing to show us what Kibbe’s standards are. To illustrate this with an example, imagine you are surrounded by people with very long legs all your life, so you always thought your legs are short. You will readily answer Kibbe’s question accordingly. What if in fact your legs are long by Kibbe’s standards? Five questions can easily be answered incorrectly, and you will get an incorrect body type. The test should have some benchmarks - visual representations of what Kibbe means. For example, if a question is about the fullness of the lips, it should show two photos. A photo of a face that says that lips that are larger or equal in size to the ones on this photo are defined as full. And a second photo saying that lips of this size or thinner should be classified as thin. All the rest would then fall into the balanced category. In this way, everyone can answer the questions by comparing photos of themselves with the benchmarks, and get their correct Kibbe type.

I can't really tell if I answer many C's because I'm a type of Classic or because I just can't clearly see and determine my features so I go for a "neutral" answer.

I think you get your best answer when you try the different clothing styles on. This is really what's needed if your on the fence between the different categories. Whatever makes you feel the most beautiful, fashionable and comfortable in your own skin is the right answer.

I love this topic. I believe the internet needs more information about Kibbe types (it seems like every site says something different and it can be very confusing, even Kibbe himself admitted he made some mistakes in his book). Thanks for the vid! Subscribed.

I'm literally so confused. I get all A and B for skeleton, I get C and E for flesh and all D and E for face. Omg

I think there's a 14th type that has been left out which is what I'm calling "Moderate Romantic". This is mainly E answers with several C answers (so not theatrical romantic as no A/B are present). Can anyone relate? It's basically between SC and R and would entail a blend of styling recommendations of each.

I thought I was soft dramatic because I was soft hourglass figure and tall (5'8). So when I started to dress in soft dramatic clothing they looked good I thought but for some reason I looked off, trying to hard to be sexy? Even kinda evil lol. Then I realized that even so I have a very soft body my bones are soo thin! Delicate even in my highest weight I can't put on weight in my ankles, wrist or shoulders. I just get softer and my buns get big af. So I'm a theatrical romantic. Even though supposedly the highest a theatrical romantic can be is 5'7. Also my chest area is small, I am a 36 A. So two questions out of 15 but still I am sertain I am a TR because now I dress in a TR way and I look soo good 😍

I have a natural facial bones, mostly natural facial fleshiness (close-set eyes that are be large and rounded with contact lenses but with glasses becomes narrow and straight), dramatic body frame, and natural body fleshiness. I am 150 cm and prefer to dress dramatic now, but when I had enough weight, I used to wear natural🤷‍♀️ I’ve always had difficulty figuring out what’s best for my narrow body when I’ve always had a broad face Thank you for your videos!! I’ve watched aly art’s videos countless times and love her recommendations, but the first two times I watched two of your videos have given me enough hints to get me closer to figuring out what works for me❤️

Most of my answers were d+e and secondary c, with like one b I think I'm romantic type but I'm not sure... its hard to tell when someone like Marilyn Monroe whos extremely feminine is like the poster girl of the romantic type.. very few people actually look like her and it kind of confuses and misguides me I know what types I'm definitely not, thats easy but when I have it narrowed down to some I'm pretty sure I might be - romantic, soft classic, soft natural and soft gamine... I am not so sure

Very confusing. I've taken the test a few times-with a mirror- and get a different result each time. I've also watched all of Aly's vidoes--I've been working on this for months. I am a definite pear with a defined waist. I'm 5'9 and 145 pounds. Long arms and legs. The question about arms and thighs is an example of why I'm confused. I have thin arms, but muscular thighs. I've had to scale back on lower body workouts. On the other hand, no matter how much I work out, my arms stay thin. So does my upper body. I'm small busted. My face is square, but when I was younger it was round with little to no definition. Now, I can see a squarish jawline. My lips are average. Wide set eyes. I've been told most of my adult life I favor Jackie Kennedy. I've looked at examples of each body type and not one looks like mine. The only hips I see are on the romantics, but they have a bust/upper body to match and I don't. I also look ridiculous in romantic clothes. I think yang is dominant in me, but that's the most I can figure out and that may be wrong because of my full hips. Believe it or not, the closest I've seen to my shape is that Audrey Hepburn picture you showed in part 1. The one where she's wearing that clear bikini outfit. That shape only bigger. One of my results was flamboyant gamine, but that didn't sound right because of stereotyping I guess. I just don't know. Thanks for your videos. I'm really enjoying them.

Love your choice because Halle Berry has a pretty similar face to mine. But my lower body looks wider. Now I'm just stuck between figuring out if I'm a soft gamine or just gamine... :D

I thought I was soft classic on the beginning based on exactly what you said at the end - I had a positive body image so I assumed I was somewhere in the middle of the spectrum. But then, once I really spent the time to learn about what each body type is like and more about how the system works, I realised I'm more of a romantic. I look shorter than I am and I'm rather fleshy regardless of how much I exercise or what my weight is. I love kibbe body typing - it's been a total game changer for my style and now knowing that I'm what I'm calling a "moderate romantic" (ie somewhere between soft classic and romantic that's NOT theatrical romantic because I have no A/B answers but several C answers on top of my E answers), I understand and can explain to others why stiff blazers and traditional business professional attire doesn't really work for me. Yay for kibbe! Where has this been all my life!

I love this one! But, I think that she's altered her nose. You can see it in her highschool pics. It used to be a bit wider and rounder. It would be interesting to see if that would put her into another type.

Can dramatics have short legs in comparison to the long sharp lines every where else?

I FEEL like my whole Skelton is B except...my face has some classic And I don't have the length necessarily but indonrelate a lot to soft natural. It's harder to judge your self, due to different levels of of body dismorphoa etc! I get a lot of c answers, alot of b answers. One A and one d/e perhaps. What do people think?

Where can I take the test

What if I have broad shoulders, somewhat hourglass, longish arms and legs, an athletic look to my legs without formal exercise, small wrists and ankles, currently around a stone overweight at a large US size 8 (bust 36, waist 30, hips 40), weight goes everywhere but noticeably makes my waist thicker so less hourglass, average sized head for my body and 5ft8. I’m so confused!

My answers are E/D with a few B’s and one A. I have wide bone structure, somewhere sharper, somewhere softer. Though what confuses me a lot is that I have rather wide and a bit sharp shoulders and overall smaller upper body, but heavier lower body: hips, thighs, ankles, feet. It’s all wide bones with a lot of softness and flash. And that confuses me between soft gamine, theatrical romantic and romantic. And yes, I’m short.

I took the test and got 7 ds, 4 as, 4 cs and 1 b. I definitely have a lot Ingenue essence; I have fairly large, round eyes, rounded cheeks, small rosebud mouth and a soft jawline. However, my nose is a fairly prominent Roman-style nose with a bumpy bridge, and I have high cheekbones and an overall oval face shape, and people have both described my face as "doll-like" and "regal". My figure has the curves of a slim, delicate hourglass; my shoulders and hips are almost equal in width and my waist is quite narrow, especially in comparison to my hips and shoulders. My bust is moderately sized but often appears larger in photos. On the other hand, I have long, slender limbs. What type could I fit in? I'm quite confused.

Thank you for this. I’m still unsure though. I’ve always been slightly chunky, I think it makes this harder. I’m 5’9’’, so I’m either a dramatic or a flamboyant natural. But which one? It’s hard to say if I’m muscular or wide or... At this point I’m pretty hourglassy with defined shoulders and wide hips and big butt. My face is kind of classic looking though, not very muscular. My limbs are quite big but not that long compared to my torso. So my question is, am I a tall classic, fat dramatic or a not-that-sporty flamboyant natural? 😅

Umm... I have a question. Can soft dramatic have only soft face and quite "dry" body? I'm 175cm tall, 1m in shoulders and hips, 70 in waist, flat and narrow chest, but my face is soft and round. I have almond-shaped eyes, rounded nose, not so thin lips and very chubby cheeks, even when I am underweight, they are still soft. Can I be soft dramatic? Or rather something else? I'm hesitating between soft dramatic, flamboyant natural and flamboyant gamine...

Dear Merriam! Thx for your interestning point of vew about everthing about Kibbe Type :-) I descovered that a lot of fashion vloger don't realy know therir own body type. How can a gamine (very petite, long legs, short upper body, big head, big eyes and smal lips, blond) have a celeberty as a raw model who is totally oposite her self, obviously natural or soft natural. Of course you can be whatever you want to be and there is nothing wrong with everybody taste. But I only wonder because they give fashion advice and they are raw models them selves. My intention is not to criticize for the sake of critique and Kibbes bodytype's theory is not a law. I "descover" that I'm soft natural and I'm very glad for this because that save me a lot of time and money buying outfits that don't fet me.

I'm 5'9, very busty and curvy. Broad round shoulders, very rounded all over, I look wide, have a large head, full lips, medium almond shaped eyes, wide, round nose. Cheeks full and puffy, but I have a defined hollow indent under my cheekbones. Course, curly hair. Idk man. Soft dramatic..? Or TR?

In person Charlize Theron doesn’t have broad shoulders-she is so small framed they appear big but compared to other ppl they are very small. Also, her waist was slim in her youth but she is so long that the curve is less noticeable, esp since she is small chested. 24 inch waist, 36 hip

I'm so confused with the kibbe types. Can you maybe help me get my type? -i'm 5'7 tall -my body is curvy (my arms and legs are fleshy, I have slopped tappered shoulders, small waist, wide hips, no butt /cry XD) -My head is oval shaped (not big and bony), I have big eyes, high bridged nose, small lips) -My hands are on the palm wide, but fingers are long and delicate, my fingernails are extremely small -my feet are on the bigger side and wide, my ankles are a bit on the wider side, but not too wide. My hair looks best on me when it's straight middle lenght or long, idk why I have the feeling, that I look awkward with curls (maybe it's just me) I'm so so confused.

Yeah Kibbe is incredibly flawed. I’ll forever be classified as an SD due to my height, but literally everything else about me is a TR. literally everything in my face is round, and shouldn’t be classified as an SD just because of my height. And things that supposedly would look good on me makes me look so out of my own element

I got the same answers for my face but E for lips. I think i am an SG , im definitely dominantly yin structured garments look awful and so seperate from me. No one talks about SG being pear shaped or elongation of legs 🤷‍♀️ yes, i originally thought TR until i found you need double curve and now im inbetween thinking SD or SG but im more likely SG because im petite with small bones . The test always comes up with TR and i did another one the other day that puts the results in charts it shows ive come up with SG and TR to the same percentage.

His Facebook groups are very strict, no talking allowed :( At first by looking at Kibbe types I thought I’m like tall soft gamine because of my doll like features. But I’m tall-ish (5”6) and have long limbs and also lot of curves, so I thought maybe I’m soft natural but natural ladies seem to be quite squarish, most of them are kind of fleshy but not real curves in there hips, while my hips are extremely curvy, I don’t look like them. So then I thought so I must be soft dramatic but my face doesn’t fit to the description, I’m in my 30’s and I still have a babyface.

I think this was really helpful! I know I've got a lot of dramatic in me but wasn't sure what else, since I'm not pure dramatic.... I thought maybe flamboyant natural but it seemed off. But cos gamines are usually shown as really pixie-ish and super boyish, short, petite, I kind of wrote it off cos I'm tall and have a more hourglass shape... but then revisited it after seeing that Gwen Stefani is a flamboyant natural, and I think my look is in line with hers. So now after seeing this, I'm thinking I might be a flamboyant gamine. So thank you :)

Just wanna say you are really doing a great job on your channel! Also, congratulations on your new website! Hopefully, your style report is something I can afford soon. But if you need another demo style report from a "real" person, perhaps from one of your readers, instead of another celebrity, I am very willing to send in my photos. As I, hell, still couldn't figure out what my Kibbe type is.

She is proportionate because she has a haircut that is balancing her out, and her whole demeanor is not classic she is just obviously soft gamine especially when you see her in her roles.

what i feel important about this test is: when in doubt, always always always compare yourself with people of your own ethnicity and background. for example dutch women are very tall in general, a dutch american woman can be "very tall" compare to other people around her but short compare to her own background. same idea, a woman can look childish compare to caucasians but mature in asia.
