I'm kind of exited for it, I'm trying to get my imperial knights army up to scratch for the new edition

Excited for it! Im just going on painting and building up my armyx focusing on stuff i dont own and stuff i find cool. Its a perfect time for that because there is no meta yet meaning i can let my creative juices flow and not feel constricted in what i do. Im working on getting my infantry finished. I have 20 firewarriors/breachers sitting unpa8nted in a box, alongside 20 pathfinders and some Vespid. I ordered myself a firesight marksman and sniper drones. I am going to try to airbrush these units to make the process fast and effecient and not burn muself basecoatig and blending the red armor. I recon if i only have to basecoat pants and joint in black and a few details in gold i wont lose interest that much and be faster finished.😅 thats about 50 models to do🤯😑

So it depends on how big your collection is in either but if you're just starting out with either of them I'd just go for it - but it's probably more important at the moment to buy a box and fully paint it up before moving onto another box as those starter sets look great! You can plan around them now we've seen the reveal of what's inside.

Definitely still a good buy! I'd probably stick with the Recruit Edition as it's reasonably priced (£30/$50 for 20 minis, you can get those boxes cheaper too at other sellers) and it will be really good practice to paint those up. If you've not even got any paints yet then you could instead go for something like the Assault Intercessor and Paint Set, you only get 3 minis but also get the paints included to paint them up as Ultramarines and that will let you see if you enjoy the hobby, as the starter editions I mentioned at the start of my comment only come with the models.

Me and my friend group are just enjoying the hype and lead up to the new edition more than anything, I think they’re doing a good job of that personally to hold interest - but I do know what you mean with the specifics. What army are you using at launch?

@@TinBearStudios I've got a few to pick from but Custodes are my true love right now so aiming to get queue of them finished ahead of 10th so I can justify picking up the Nids ;) Was planning to work on Red Corsairs after but with the roadmap showing Necron codex is ahead of CSM, my custom dynasty will come next instead.

I think that depends on your group. I am in several different Discord and messenger groupchats and some of them are hyped a.f and some are realy cautious.

Yeah I've just had the Battleforce box for Custodes painted up and I can't wait to get my hands on them, I love the Custodes - reading a bunch of books about them at the moment too. Good plan with your Red Corsairs, sounds like a smart move.

Yeah I think we will for sure, I saw a pretty big surge in my views in December when he announced it so I think it'll be on another level once the show actually comes out.
