They should just sell 90s civics exaty the same. Just call them a 2023 '99 😂 i like the idea of these things being imported new. Japan seems to have madd these jjust for their utility tasks so we got their used models imported. People like them and i can see why, but if i buy one id like it to be new off the fsctory floor. Ill use it to haul around motorcycles and junk so it wouldnt hurt if there was a model that was just a couple inches wider and longer to fit american roads and objects and our fatter people. If you are interested in one of these, some make/models to search for are: Mitsubishi Minicab, Daihatsu HiJet, Suzuki Carry, Subaru Sambar and Honda Activity. The last two are rear engine, the rest are mid engine. They all have 660cc engines making around 40-50 HP. They are right-hand drive. Most are stick. Most are 4x4. You can get them with A/C, PS, Auto, left hand drive and dump beds but those are in the minority and will cost a lot more. Theyve been harder to get the last 2-3 years cause of the "supply chain" thing, shipping was always a big part of the cost (the trucks themselves go for as little as $1500 US with 20,000 miles at auction in Japan; 7 fit into 1 container) and got much bigger but maybe that will settle out again.

I use my '91 HiJet as an alternative to a Rhino, Gator, Mule etc. Bigger bed, fold down sides and tiedown hooks. Completely enclosed cab with heat, defrost, wipers, stereo - street legal in some places but I dont ever leave the property with it. 4x4 with diff lock & low range. Never gotten stuck. Climbs hills like crazy. I use it to haul tools around, haul dirt (in buckets), cut/fetch firewood, get my mail, harvest my hay. Only weighs 1500# and I put on wide offroad tires so it doesnt crush (uncut) hay too bad when I drive across it for land maintenance. I use it to run around and gather the bales since it doesnt cost crap when at idle and its like 5 steps from cab to hay to bed. I put a bar and some clamps across the sides to keep them horizontal since hay dont weigh much, I can get 24 small square bales in a load. Also just drive around my property or spray weeds or pick up trash. Haul my trash can to the curb. Turns real tight which helps get through the trees. Old and dented so I dont care it if gets scratched (as opposed to my Silverado which I want to keep looking ~nice). I really wish some American company made these. Thought it would be a hoot to paint it like the General Lee (Genelal Ri?) except meatball flag on roof, but then Id be afraid of scratches again.

What's underneath the access point in the bed?. Is it to get to the back half of the engine or something?.. Also is there anywhere that is like KBB for KEI trucks because I don't know what they're worth when looking at them, These years are worth "X" with said milage stuff like that.. A business near me is buying them up like crazy and reselling them and they're all honestly in really great shape but I don't know if what he's selling them for is outrageously expensive or fair market value.. Thanks for sharing and any help on both my questions is appreciated greatly. I'll give you a example not to be a pain in the @ss, Was looking at one of the Honda Acty trucks he had and it's got just 65,767 miles not kilometers on it and it's 4x4 5spd with a dump bed that can dump side to side and the standard way. He's got it for $6k and I'm interested bit not sure if that is a good/great price or a rip off, oh and it's a 1997 btw.. The most expensive one is going for $9k but it's a Toyota with very low mileage and not your average KEI truck. It clearly is more special. Anyways sorry for rambling on
