Why is your fertilizer limited to certain states? I would love to purchase a few containers of this!

We would love that too. Since fertilizer is regulated by each state we have to be licensed and registered for each state that we ship to. It is a massive undertaking of paperwork, fees and monthly reports. We are a small family business and not a billion dollar corporation, so for now we only can ship to 19 states. You can always ship to family or a friend in one of those states and they can forward it (many of our customers do that.) You can see those current states here: beatyourneighbor.com/faq/

I am a first-year cut flower farmer. After I have planted out my seedlings, should I be using a higher phosphorus number fertilizer to encourage blossoming or should I use a more straight number fertilizer?

Our Beat Your Neighbor fertilizer is 20-21-19 which gives a well rounded boost, but really makes the flowers perform.

I’m new to hanging baskets. After fertilizing for the first time, I noticed a few days later that there was some powdery mildew (I believe) starting on the plant, possibly in a place where the fertilized water ran over the plant. Is this just a coincidence or should I be watering more carefully?

That wouldn't be powdery mildew, just from calcium in the water. It's not a concern at all but you can try watering directly to the soil to prevent this.
