The PC building community is very awesome. PC building is my number 1 favorite hobby to do and I'm very happy to do it. I started learning how to build PC's a few years ago from watching a lot of videos on KZfaq and I memorized it. I build my own gaming PC yes I ran into some problems but I was able to fix them. After I built mine I built some more computers and sold them to people I also have some more PC cases for future builds so I can't wait to get the parts for them. Thank you very much to all you wonderful tech KZfaqrs y'all inspire me a ton. 😊😊😊😊

Your beginners guide was definitely the most helpful playlist I found while building a PC for the first time. I just finished it last week.

I agree with everything you have said, however I think you made the assembly a bit easier that it really is. I do realize that this was more of a why build your own as opposed to a detailed how to video. I do hope this inspires more people to build their own, it will not only help to save money for the initial build but also future upgrades.

In an effort to convince as many people to build their own PCs as possible, I decided to gloss over some of the more annoying and/or tricky parts of PC building (like connecting the tiny front panel connectors and doing cable management ). They'll find out soon enough, muahahaha!

Built my first pc last month easily the most frustrating but equally the most rewarding when you get everything working

you dont need to convince me as i made a decision to build my own pc a while ago even before this video was created.but thanks anyways for other info you put in this video like its rewarding and its not that hard to do(if we only talk about build a pc coz software and other outside the hardware components is obviously a different story).even if i only imagine it,i can feel that is very, very rewarding knowing you did it on your own.im sure, the dopamine will hit you hard if you done it correctly.

One thing that prevented me from building my own pc for so long was the idea that these pc components will break if you so much as look at them the wrong way, but they are actually pretty resilient. Building my first pc in an ITX case had me contorting my wrists in ways they haven’t been before and I fumbled some parts multiple times thinking there’s no way it will boot when I’m finished. But it did, and after 2 years I’m selling that one so I can build another one 😂

Very good point! There is definitely some fear involved with handling and installing PC components, especially if you've never done it. And, agreed, mini-ITX builds can be tricky. My main system is ITX... it was quite a bit more difficult to put together than a standard build. In any case, thanks for the comment and good luck on your upcoming build!

I bought the cyber power gamer master you reviewed and it’s really good. The only problem is that the PSU has Coil Whine

That's understandable and something I forgot to include. Can be nerve-wracking handling PC components for the first time. But as @MaximusLigmus pointed out in another comment, the components are more resilient than they seem.

It’s really not hard as most things only plug in one way, the only thing that is semi a pain is doing the switches but really not as bad as I’m making it sound. I use my iPad and find the motherboard manual online that way I can pinch and zoom any connection I may need questioning . Building now versus when I built my first pc over 30 year’s ago, you used to make sure all the jumpers were in the right position assign com ports, dma channels and Irq’s but now that’s almost always done in the bios now no physical switches to assign. Make sure you use a quality power supply, if it’s wrong then it won’t turn on. Once you let the smoke out you can’t put it back in. I easily saved $700 on my last build for my personal pc, watch videos and read up then if you have a micro center near you go there, micro center I’ve found to be a great resource and you have those tech guys that enjoy sharing their knowledge with you.

Not today, not tomorrow, not a month from now. Maybe not even a year from now... But sooner or later... You WILL build your own PC!

Well sir, karma is swift and immediate. My brand new fancy prebuilt Dell computer arrived today, dead right out of the box. Right now I don’t have the time to build a PC because I just bought an old house and am absorbed in learning a ton of other skills related to that, so I plan to just get another prebuilt bandaid for now. However, one day I plan to get a third PC just for fun and I will strongly consider building that PC instead of getting another prebuilt one. So there you go.

yeah as I watched my brand new prebuilt PC revving up and sighing to death over and over again without ever booting up, your words from this video came back to me, “they save money by cutting the quality of the power supply…”
