Thanks dude. Yeah-the budget kit was spot on! :) Great to have as a backup.
This is a perfect reason why every grower should have the drop-kits, they're always accurate! At least have them to reference your digital meters. Great video as always Everest.

Joey E The pH bromothymol blue liquid test kits are ok at best. And completely useless if you use nutrients and additives that are colored themselves. I like to use humic acid as one of my additives. And my base nutrient itself has a dye in it. When final mixing and just before checking pHit has the color of black coffee. The liquid test kits are useless. Get a meter or pen. Keep it clean and calibrated and save yourself the headaches.

Hi QQ QQ. At least once a week. Some super geeky growers I know calibrate before each use but this is just overkill in my eyes!

What is the difference between ph meter and ph tester?

So, why do you have to calibrate it every week (7 days)?? What if I feed twice a week or biweekly?

Bluelab ftw! (HM pens die quick) Calibration and storage is the key though, as you state.Good info.

caliberation fluid aka distilled water, could distilled water be a replacement?
@Just4Growers8 жыл бұрын
+fortress61 distilled water can actually harm your pH probe so I'd definitely stick with calibration fluid. Thanks - great question!

+Everest Fernandez (Just4Growers) what about distilled water ph3.5?
@RichardsWorld6 жыл бұрын
I really don't think distilled water will hurt it. This is made to measure much lower or higher PH levels, so there is no way distilled water will hurt it.

5 years after the fact, but: Storing in deionized or distilled water causes ions to leach from the glass membrane and reference electrolyte, so it should never be used.

Is this the video where they said you talked to slow and it went off from there!!!!!!!

I feel I slowed it down 0.75X if I put it at 1.50X I feel comfortable

How did they test that the 1st ph7 solution was correct?.. with a ph meter. Ok then how did they calibrate that meter?.. with ph7 solution. But how did they know that it was ph7? What came 1st???
@Just4Growers7 жыл бұрын
+xXxBLINGO07xXx the calibration solution will be prepared in the laboratory using very accurate equipment.
@cdh797 жыл бұрын
but what did they use to calibrate this equipment? :P
