Why should we? If we want change, we support the game we want to play. We want Mass Effect. Everyone please. Don’t support Anthem if it’s not the game you want.

I'm not against it. It just hurts to see something you love like Mass effect get thrown to a secondary dev team that clearly has trouble living up to Mass effect standards for something that I personally have no interest in.

I'm not writing off Bioware, I'm writing off EA. I don't trust them to give Bioware a fair shake after they threw the Andromeda team under the bus, and hung them out to dry.

I didn't give up on Bioware for any of the reasons you listed. I gave up on them because they gave up on their fan base and on themselves and what they'd spent over a decade building. At this point, I have serious doubts if I'd even buy a new DA or ME game because Bioware has proven that all they care about now is to make pretty games that no longer have the stories or characters that we care about, and if we even try, they're just going to dump it for the next flash in the pan. The absolute only way that you'll get me to even try Anthem once it's on sale is if I can do a demo that proves it has an engaging story with fleshed out characters that we can care about, regardless of romance or lack thereof. Until then, Bioware is nothing but an EA shill that cares about nothing but money.

I literally don't care whether a gme includes romances, to me they are good additions for a good laugh 'cause I never take romance in game seriously. I care about a good story and a deep world I can dive into AT MY OWN PACE like Pillars of Eternity and The Elder Scrolls. BioWare also used to give me that experience, the same can be said for Anthem? Nope, I guess not.

This seems like such a unique blend of Mass Effect and Dragon Age elements. I love the fact that it combines my favorite elements of both franchises. It's also a game that gives me lore and story I want and the mechanics my boyfriend looks for in games to play, so we can play together. As someone who is very much a social gamer (Guild Wars 2 long time player), I love that the game encourages co-op gameplay. If you wanna play solo, there's plenty of options for that. Anthem doesn't need to be everything...even though it kind of IS everything lol. Thanks for the vid.

Nope....sorry. I'm a BioWare game fan but not a sucker for everything BioWare slaps a name on, and this is a bad rip off of Destiny. So Andromeda was badly developed cause of this....no. Just no. I want Mass Effect, I want Dragon Age, I want SWTOR...I didn't ask for this.

I want BioWare to be good again. And if we continue to hate BioWare like this, they won’t get that chance. I refuse to give in to hatred and fall to the Dark Side. I’m going to get this game when the reviews come out if it’s good and with my feedback, it can evolve into something greater than the initial release just like Warframe.

I think the problem is that EA has plenty of Studios that's already doing these type of games BioWare is the one Studio that they have that focuses only on single player RPG elements something that their fans are used to and love about them so to turn that into a Destiny clone online multiplayer experience simply does not make any sense if I personally where to get this game I can only see myself playing it for maybe a few months and then never touching it again only because I'm not a big multiplayer online co-op guy it's one of those things where I have to be in the mood to play those type of games but I still have hopes and dreams that BioWare will soon one day return to their roots and make the games we know and love them for and give us a true Mass Effect experience in the future

It looks great, and I'm up for trying something new... however, the internet in my area slows down significantly during times when I would be able to play this game. Then, there's the fact that it looks like it requires a lot of grinding, which I no longer have time for as a working adult. I hope they don't cancel DA4 in the event that Anthem doesn't sell well, but to be honest, I would not feel guilty if EA closed down Bioware. I'd feel sad, sure, but should Anthem not meet sales expectations, the company has no one to blame besides themselves.

Let me put it like this, if I go to McDonald's is because the burgers, yeah they have nuggets and shit and I might try them but I came for burgers, so when I want a game from bioware I go for RPG's and since they hit a third strike with ME Andromeda I won't go there anymore.

I'm personally don't care that there won't be romances in the game. What I'm worried about is that the story will be diluted because they have to write it with multiplayer in mind. I'm worried because we were only told that it won't be but we weren't shown anything on how the story progression will work. In a bioware title I expect to make decisions and be hooked in a story. If it is just a Destiny clone essentially I will be disappointed. Also buying this game solely so that Dragon Age 4 will be made is completely irresponsible consumer behavior. It enables the developer to put as little effort into the games they make if they have a fan base that will do whatever it takes to ensure they survive. I'm sorry but Bioware is gonna have to earn my trust back. I will wait until I can be assured that I won't be wasting my time and money.

I am sorry but, I can't blindly support a Game that doesn't look appealing to me just because I really like the Developer. I will wait until the Game has been launched and reviewed. I personally won't buy a Game only because I happen to be a Fan of the Devs Team earlier work. If Anthem is good and interesting to me, then I will purchase it otherwise, I will spend my 70 Euros on something else. But if you happen to be excited and generally interested, then, by all means,​ support it with all of your heart.

People always complain about new things. Always. It's the way of the internet. Look at the last two Star Wars films, Star Trek Discovery, Cyberpunk 2077 (just because it's first person?), Fallout 76, and now Anthem. People always complained but now it's gone from overstating how bad a thing is to trashing what it could be. Things tend to happen with or without them and sometimes good things come from it. I honestly am not bothered about weither people don't wanna play Anthem or not. If I and some friends enjoy it and it still comes out why not just let it exist. Criticism has it's place but running people out and trashing things purely of concept isn't helping anyone.

What is killing me, is that Anthem is not even out and people bitch about the game. And then the same people are defending the Destiny franchise that has done nothing but screw gamers over with shady business practices. Same goes for COD and Overwatch I’m aware that EA is a company who has more greed than talent, and yeah we have to be aware of the problems they created in the past. But I love Bioware games, and it would break my heart if they had to shut down for ever. It’s like Mass Effect Andromeda, the game had flaws, but the backlash he got was much to much. I will get Anthem because the world looks amazing. Of course I would prefer a linear singleplayer game, but who knows maybe it’s still an amazing Bioware game.

I may be being pessimistic, but, I think Anthem being successful will spell the end of the single-player story/character driven BioWare game they are known for and more of the co-op on-line gaming we've seen of Anthem. Which is not something I want to play; I like the single-player 3rd person RPG/Action of Mass Effect and Dragon Age and Balder's Gate. I don't want a Dragon Age or (if we ever get another) Mass Effect that is focused on the co-op / on-line / game as a service that Anthem looks to be. I also think that if Anthem isn't successful that it could be the end of BioWare and of the single-player story/character driven games... Maybe I'm just being pessimistic, but it doesn't seem that I'm the type of gamer that BioWare wants to make games for anymore.

Yeah, inquisition was a blemish on biowares reputation, andromeda was the death of it, and as a final nail in the coffin they're making destiny with jetpacks. Literally looks like Avatar, Destiny, and Mass Effect got smushed into one thing. with mutliplayer. I haven't seen a truly interesting looking game come out in years.

I will not support this game. ME suffered for it. It's not a Single Player RPG either. so No Thanks. EA has pushed for MP games to cash grab. And those saying that ME is gone, it isn't, Casey has already stated they are in early stages of a new ME (Designing the story) He alse said it's Anthem then DA4. EA isn't going to improve their business practices if players like us keep giving them "free passes" every time they totally screw us and then pump out a new game. I'm boycotting Anthem, and all other new games from EA, until such time that they go back and "fix" Mass Effect with some good DLC's and eventual sequels. The way they sabotaged and then abandoned Andromeda (and all of us who brought it) is inexcusable. They knew about all the game's issues before they released it, but chose to do so anyway - because all they cared about was pocketing our money - not making a great game that would have sold way better. We deserve to be treated better, but never will be as long as we keep ignoring EA's past behavior when ever they want to sell us something new. Hold them accountable, boycott Anthem - at least until they seriously commit to recovering Mass Effect in a believable way.!

So alot of topic is whether to support bioware. You support company cause they make a product you love and they treat fans good(CD project red). Not because they make games you are not interested in (going away from story to mmo, bailing on game due to not recieved well-andromeda, hell no mans sky still updating to make up for there issues). I won't support because they and EA have stayed from what there core fans loved about them to chase other companies ideas, and the 10year money plan to drain there fans wallets and offer less then bioware's true best.

I agree with you on the notion, that Anthem shouldnt be judged, because its something new, but I must say your arguments were so weak and your comments about the romances really triggered me. So I agree with you, but your reasons are very very odd.

also I don't like the jetpack in an open world game, it's certainly better than Inquisitions shit horse riding and Andromeda's wonky ass vehicle physics, but it's a lazy alternative to making your world actually interesting to traverse and full of things to explore. Games like Infamous SHINED when it came to world traversal, hopefully we get something like that again soon. If anthem succeeds, Dragon Age 4 will have even more loot crates and a battle royale mode. if anthem fails, bioware gets a minor setback, it's a multi billion dollar company under the protection of big daddy EA. Unless EA cans them, in which case they can go on to make games without their filthy influence.

Anthem deserves to crash in the wall 3 times harder the way Andromeda did. Just because karma. They decided to make a shit of a game from a franchise I loved just because they wanted to catch a new audience that gives them more money. So be it. I'm just not interested. They have gone in a complete different direction from what made them great. And I'm sorry but add EA to that, staff abandoning project (like andromeda) and its recipe for disaster we have seen before. They need to go back to what worked and stop trying to copy other games. Still not intetested. BioWare is not the amazing company it used to be and the past games you mentioned were not exactly met with high praise.
